Promotion

Hey guys

Since the stats problems I did not get my promotion to First Sergeant. I think I got all the badges and points but it still won't give me the promotion.

First Sergeant requirements:
Rank: Gunnery Sergeant
Score: 20,000
Awards: Basic Knife Combat Badge, Basic Pistol Combat Badge, Basic Assault Combat Badge, Basic Anti-tank Combat Badge, Basic Sniper Combat Badge, Basic Spec Ops Combat Badge, Basic Support Combat Badge, Basic Engineer Combat Badge, Basic Medic Combat Badge

Most of the badges I got the veteran already and I have over 30000 points but....

Did I miss something?

couple things i've read (not sure if they still are true, happen etc) are

A) if you receive the veteran pistol before receiving the basic(it a glitch that happens sometimes) you can't rank to First Sergeant

or

B) if you were at Gunnery Sergeant and then met the requirements you couldn't move up(made to get all the badges before)

Just what some people said, its not official so i dunno how true it is

No I had more points than needed (about 28000) but I did not have 2 badges then. Now I got them and still no promotion.

Well maybe that's it. (A) happened to me so this might be the thing. Any way to fix this or do I have to wait for Master Gunnery Sergeant (50'000) to get my next promotion?

I think once you rank up thats it. Even though you have the badges now you will have to wait until 50,000. They don't really explain that so people know, but all the unlocks stay the same so it's all good.

You are not yet eligible for the advanced rank of Sergeant Major because you are missing the awards: Basic Aviator Badge.

If I may jump in here...

My next rank comes at 20,000. I'm about 1000 away. Do I need to worry about getting all my badges before I get 20,000 or can I get the req. points and then finish my badges (boring shit like transport, ground defense, etc.)

I don't want it to happen where I miss my rank up at 20,000 and have to wait until 50,000 (a big difference!).

I would say yes, try to get all the basic badges first, try to play every role, other wise u can get stuck in one rank for one thing you are missing.
This happens to yourigo, he was missing the veteran armor badge, he was Colonel, when he got the veteran armor badge he ranked up 3 times! he went from colonel to general 3 stars from one nite to the next morning!
Everyone was like Double you --- Tee --- Eff? how did you ranked up so fast and so high yurigo?
