Thread: Sig not showing...

I'm a little confused, I see it in some places in here but not in others... anyone know why?

For example it just showed up now, when I first posted this, but on other posts by me, ie. request for a reservist slot, I don't see it there, only a box with that stupid little "x" in the upper left hand corner indicating that the picture may not be viewed...?!?

Sometimes, the page does not load completely, or have some errors, but thats ur ISP problem, cuz i see ur sig in all ur posts.

Something happened when i logged into L4D yesterday. My Distinguished, Heroic, and Legendary Survival achievements reset. I had 6 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze, and yesterday, they all reset. I noticed that me and a couple of friends lost connection to steam, and couldn't connect to any L4D servers, and for about a half an hour, they were down, until they came back on. i looked at my achievements, and it said that i had no achievements unlocked, 0 - 58. I logged out of L4D and steam, and restarted them both, and they were back, accept that my Distinguished, Heroic, and Legendary Survival achievements reset to 0. Also, I looked on the leader boards, and it says I have all of my times still there, but not on the achievements. I'm not sure what happened but it might be a glitch for me, because i asked all of my friends if theirs reset, but theirs didn't, so I'm wondering if its just a glitch for me, or if others have the same problem. Whoever has played the survival knows that it is a pain in the ass to get the 10 minutes, especially on last stand, and now its all reset. If anybody can give me any explanation or anything to give me info on why this happened to me, please tell, thanks.

There have been ongoing problems with the Achievements lately. They seem to come and go for no apparent reason. One of the fixes was to log out of Steam and log back in, which you already did. At this point, I don't know of a fix that will work for you. Valve has to be aware of it, I would think...

I'm not sure if its just me or the game, because all of my friends medals are fine. its just weird, but ill just wait it out and see what happens, and if nothing, then i don't know...

For the moment. I don't know of any other fix for the problem. You can try all the reload game, reload Steam, validate cache files and all the other stuff, but I haven't heard of any of it doing any good.

The only thing I noticed is that when peeps were having problems with their Achievements, they also had problems getting their friends stuff to show up. I don't know if that is just coincidence or not. Sorry...

Some folks have gone back and done them again, but I would hate to have someone do all that for nothing..

yeah, i mean, you have probably played survival and know what its like to get time on the last stand map, close to impossible, but if i have to do that, then i guess ill have 2 do it, i mean everything else that needed a certain number of kills or other thinks like zombicidal maniac, that still has the number previous to the incident, but oh well, i have friends that know how to play, so i guess ill just try to do them again, thanks for the help...

LOL...you don't even want to play Survival with me, I have trouble making it to Bronze...LOL

I am concerned that folks will try to get an achievement all over again, only to lose it AGAIN due to a software bug. Then they will really be ticked off!!!

I'm having basically the same problem. I got a load of times on distinuished, heroic, legendary survivor and they all got reset, INCLUDING the 'what are you trying to prove?' achievement, which really ticked me off. That one actually reset a couple of times. The survival mode still shows my times, but i haven't got credit for them in the achievement section.
I'm not expecting a fix, as you've said, but I thought I would show you're not alone
