Thread: Highway Tampa on 2142?

I saw this on the news ticker, they were advertising the 1.40 beta patch, which they said included Highway Tampa 2142 on it.

Anyone know anything more about it?

It's still in beta for now I think....not officially released, but it will be.

Just know that as soon as you apply the 2142 Beta you won't be able to play on the 2142 servers.

The files that get changed will ensure that you are no longer "official" as far as a ranked server is concerned.

Stay on the 1.25 patch until we update here.

Laggy

This maps blows ropey goat chunks. Adding phasers and plasma rifles only means it'll be futuristic... and blow ropey goat chunks.

I like ropey goat chunks!... especialy when hit with a 40watt plasma rifle.

Any one got a screen shot fo the map?? i have never seen it even form bf2 version...

If the BF2 map (and Verdun conquest, which also has tons of vehicles) is any indication, then it's going to suck.

As I said originally, huge numbers of tanks and armor makes the game much less fun. True on Verdun, true in BF2's Highway Tampa, and will be true in the 2142 one if they make it how they've said they will.
