Thread: Shooting through walls?

I don't know what was happening... but about 10 minutes ago I was squad leading for a pretty good round. We all got on top of a building and I was resupplying to get ready to drop another beacon.

At this time I hid behind some of the structures that sit on top of the walls so i would not be visible to the other rooftops nearby. While I was sitting behind this wall I began to take damage. I focused my screen to the direction of the damage and it was coming right from were the wall was. The player was shooting me through the wall. I ended up dying and the gun that killed me was a Shoku LMG (I have a screenshot of this one).

A few minutes later on the same map, I am underneath a building in a corner. I have teamates throughout the area upstairs and on the same level as me. There are -no- enemies inside the underpass of this building, ,.. NO ONE is in here with the exception of some units on TOP of the roof. I am standing in a corner next to the stairs... suddenly I'm getting hit again, same deal... It is once again coming from the wall. And I am dead again by a LMG. I had squad members and other teamates around me at the time, none of them saw anyone enter the area I was in or leave for that matter...

The second one I could have been mistaken on but none of my squad saw anything and my screen showed it coming from the wall... But I was in a very hot area, but the first one I am 100% positive I was behind the stucture. Either my game is bugging out or something is really fishy.

Edit: To clarify this is mostly just to find out if anyone has experienced anything similar. I am not making any accusations as I really do not know if it is even possible. It just struck me as rather odd and I haven't ever experienced anything like it prior to this. It has definitely been an odd night...

It's more or less a glitch. I know people used to do a certain step to get inside buildings, but that's when EA came out witht he patches.

This just means that they found a new way to get inside and piss people off.

Just send a PM to a 2142 admin with the picture.

This is a tip to evade the glitch:
stay at least a foot away from the wall, but face it, if you give your back to it and lay down, your legs will be visible through the wall.

Yes I did...

And I was facing the bullets when I was getting shot.

Also on the first one, I was on top of the tallest building in the area. Laying down in the middle of the building and the gunshots were coming from the lower building's direction.

So that you guys know which building I am talking about:



I am on the northern building at crossroads. North (and higher than) the one directly to the right of it. I was getting shot from building in the south-west where squad 4 is located. There was a squad or two on top of that building if anyone who played last night remembers.

I was also laying down in the middlish of that building, as in no where near the edges, and hiding behind one of the small structures on the buildings. The air conditioners or whatever they are. I was also getting shot while I was facing the bullets so it wasn't that my legs were just poking through. Not to mention the fact that the building I was getting shot from is a good 100 feet lower than the one I was one. Making it really impossible for me to be getting shot from that location.

Maybe my game was bugging out... But this is exactally how I remember it. It wasn't a quick death either, I had plenty of time to asses the situation being as I only took one or two bullets every few seconds.

Scroll to the right to see the map.. Otherwise the screenshot really wont really show anything.

That is a possibility. But I never heard a pod land nor see anyone while I was dead anywhere in the area.
