EASPORTSWorld.com has been experiencing heavy traffic due to an overwhelming response to our Photo Game Face feature in conjunction with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. The feature's demand has exceeded our server capacity.

We have made the following progress

Currently the Photo Game Face uploads are being accepted by the server, please be patient as you may experience some lag time because of the volume of users.
We will continue to investigate the remaining issues and we expect to have the site up and functioning properly soon. In the meantime, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 players can start a career with a regular Game Face golfer and still add a Photo Game Face at a later time.

Seriously though, thanks for the info. Logically if the golf face feature is clogging the server, causing connection problems with all of the other games, EA should be limiting connections on the face feature.

Calling "Currently the Photo Game Face uploads are being accepted by the server, please be patient as you may experience some lag time because of the volume of users." progress is pretty lame. Allow me to translate:

"We are currently waiting for problems to sort themselves out. Please be patient as you may experience some lag time and connection problems because we don't know how to manage our own servers. Thank you. :9"

I wish that we could invade their game with our game. GOLF BALLS and a choice of clubs? We have grenades and a choice of boomsticks.

Fucken gold...Tiger Woods 07 sucked, wonder if 08 will be any good. I sure aint paying 50 bucks for it thats for sure.

I am not sure whether its accurate or not but some posts are stating the connection issues can be resolved by manually updating punkbuster. It may just be coincidental that server traffic dropped off once people went to sleep. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but thought I would let people know as this "fix" really cant hurt to do anyway.

Looks like EA gave us a "hole in one"
