single player
This is something I just noticed I don't know if it has been going on for awhile or no because I haven't payed single player in awhile. today I played single player for the first time in over a month and a half. I am getting a frame rate of about 10 to 15 fps but it seems at times to go as low as five during big battles. I used to not go under 25 and usually it was above 30. I played multilayer on line and got a frame rate of about 23-27 fps. So it is just single player that is screwed up. any ideas?

You appear to be using a laptop, and laptops typically can't perform as well as a desktop can. I would try lowering your screen resolution (currently at 1440x900) and see if 1024x768 or so works better.
What video settings are you using in the game? If you have them high, you could try lowering them to medium or low and see what kind of FPS you get.*********************************

I tired lower the settings but it didn't help. I am using the recommended settings
two things confuse me though.
A. multiplayer still works at a great frame rate.
B. single player used to work better then multiplayer. at around 30-33 fps. I just played it for the first time in a couple of weeks though and now it is slow.
I don't know a lot about computers. However This one can still play Crysis and supreme commander at good frame rates so I don't think it is a change in my computer. I think My computer didn't like one of the patches. however I don't know what is wrong for sure or how to fix it which is why I am here.
