Thread: I tried

Well I tried to give PR a shot, but apparently fate thinks I shouldnt. I successfully downloaded and installed the latest patch. I go to join. First attempt I cant get a connection to the server. Second attempt it looks like the game is loading up, then it blacks out, and im back to my desktop, and bf2 is closed out.

When it crashed to desktop, were you loading the map Bi Ming?

No error message, it just blacks out and goes back to my desktop as if I hadn't even loaded the game up. It's not a life or death situation for me. I just wanted to try it out at the time.

Couple of things..

Stupidest thing I can think of this..you do have BF2 and it's patched to 1.41..right? (sorry , had to ask )

Second , I had something similar happening (game would CTD) and it ended up being my screen resolution. After I changed it to one my monitor specified , it worked fine.

But of course , you've probably already checked all of this....
