So we know about the hazmat suit infected. A common infected that can't be set on fire. Post your ideas for more "uncommon common". Here are a few of mine (took a while, too):
Decoy commons
These common infected are semi-evolved Hunters, Smokers, Boomers, etc. They do not look like the special infected nor do they have any of their special powers, but they have some similar characteristics and behaviors.
Half-hunters crouch on all fours and growl. Half-smokers have the green-colored globules floating around them and cough. Half-boomers are not fat, but have the bulging neck and emit gurgling noises.
Basically, something to fake the survivors out from time to time.
Leader commons
These commons emit a pheromone that drives nearby common infected in a small zone to a berserk state. These berserked common let out a unique cry and then immediately seek out the survivors. The pheromone also increases their stats very slightly (speed/damage). The Leader has noticeable blood-colored eyes and a uniquely erratic wandering behavior, but he is otherwise like any other common infected. When the Leader dies, berserked commons will remain beserked.
Infected who are under his influence will also have blood-colored eyes from thereon and will, essentially, look like a Leader except without the pheromone effect. So, as the Leader walks around he causes other commons to go on the attack one by one. If you see more than one bloody-eyed infected appear in short succession, you may consider exploring their direction of origin and eliminating the Leader. Having a Leader mingle into a horde attack could be disastrous, because he will buff most zombies of the horde.
Basically, a new reason to explore side areas. Instead of looking for extra items, you're trying to prevent a future bad situation.
Spec ops commons
Even under the influence of the mutated rabies strain, these common infected retain instincts leftover from their special training.
In particular, when under fire in the prescence of cover, the spec ops common will briefly take refuge. When under fire in an open area, the spec ops common will briefly drop to his stomach and feign death. "Briefly" that is. Just long enough that a survivor might focus their attention elsewhere. Due to their special gear and physical training, spec ops common are also tougher and hit harder. Possibly in the area of a special infected.
Basically, it's meant to be a "boss" infected among commons. A little harder to take down with slightly trickier behavior.

please can we get off the topic of iron sights. there was another topic made, and this is dragging on very long.
And Neurologist is right it is SPAS.
@Blaze: i would like to see slightly stronger/strategic infected. but not strong enouph to be a SI, like a hunter that cannot pounce. but the half SI UCI i think would be to annoying and be hated by alot of the community, they would annoy me alot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
