10-05-07, 05:01 PM #1Why I love TTP
Before I got here I, like most of you, would roam the BF2 & SF prairie looking for any rogue server. I would hardly ever squad up, and if I did it was only with my RL friends that got me into the game in the first place. I was new to the game, and not very skilled, so my K/D was usually at or below 1.0.
So now I have been here a few months, and although I felt like I had improved my overall numbers are going up, but I don't usually have those l33t 40:2 rounds so many of us hope for. After the last couple of days I can tell you that it is because of the talent on TTP.
I have played a few hours on a SF Warlord only server that will remian nameless with one of my RL buds, Elvis. The two of us would squad up and own the map. Any flag we wanted to take we took. Any flag we wanted to defend the enemy never got close to. We were constantly amazed at the fact that we could get and hold TV for a full round with just 2 guys, and rac up about 40 kills each, and they could never devise a plan to take us out. We were usually in the top 4 every round. It even got the point that I was being called a hacker, imagine that for those of you that lay waste to me regularly.
I would personally like to thank TTP for helping me to learn to play the game the right way, and to do it well. For those of you, that like me, feel like just another average TTPer try another server, and I almost guarantee that you will discover that you are L33Tsauce.
Happy Fraggin'

Re: Why I love TTP
I agree.
TTP is the only community with servers that got game. Since joining TTP I tried playing other servers a few times so that I could play with RL friends or play BF2 maps/mods that TTP does not host. Each time I realized that other servers are toys for the people that host them. They make no effort to play the games as they are designed to be played. Instead, the owners air whore and don't give two shits whether the other players feel involved or are having fun.
If you want fun and teamwork combined then TTP is the only show on Earth.

Re: Why I love TTP
Kudos Civ,
I used to go to many other servers and play lone wolf sniper all the time. The only time I squadded, like you Civ, was with my RL friends who got me into the game in the first place. Then I played at a place called Fulcontactwar squad/VOIP preffered; it was a lot better there and I got into squad and teamplay. Eventually I got a good ping at a place called Texas ...Teamplayers... And I logged in and got into a squad with Elkhartadam, AndrewTheYahoo, and some others I do not remember. I had never had a squad/teamplay experience like that previously and I was hooked.
Also, I have noticed most days I am pretty middle of the board as far as score. But when I go to other servers now 1 of 3 things happen:
1) I own and get called haxor.
2) I get wasted because everyone is using aimbots or constanty employing exploits (grenade cycling at Karkand)
3) I get wasted because no one is squadding, teamplaying or acting cohesively. They are all trying to go rambo for points.
I can't play anywhere else now.
Thanks TTP.

Re: Why I love TTP
....Most certainly for the BF2 server and at a close second "The Banned" section. Most people just storm in there like they are Super Stars with arrogant attitudes. They don’t read the sticky's and complain. And tell us how they are the super'est greatest godlike Bf2 player and you are fools for banning them. I find that the admin's handle each case very seriously and fair. Only firing back when fired upon, Excellent job admin's!

Just to hear everyones' voices and get to know each other without worrying about spelling and grammar.
Any other ideas out there? Toss them up. TTP is what you make it.

You might want to move this into the server section of the forums.
