Thread: before 2142

ok some of us are young here and new to online gaming , some well are more hmmm .
ok we old farts .
so cusrios , before 2142 what did you game on ?
for me life begun on ghost recon , the origonal one .
then was call of duty .
a few others come and went , but ones i prefered where there .
another oldie yet good one still .
aliens vs predator .
that game is still good to game on .
then ghost recon advanced warfighter .
not done the new one yet .
and only go to a new game when one has run its course , and servers are not no good no more .
i find most games can get up to a 4 year if not more following .
and then they set in for cult history for some .
others well depends on there pcs .
not every one can afford the best whats out there .
i for sure are one of those .
so other games come and went in the past .
all depended what i was on , pc wise , and if i had dsl at the time .
so what every one else do ?
oh and i asking , as a friend from the past coem online today .
hes on a old pc and had ghost recon installed .
it was a blast from the past to isntall it and hit a game up there .

back in my day, we just had a stick and had to draw in the mud, then erase, each frame. Sucky frame rate.

Seriously? Are you talking about any gaming, multiplayer gaming, fps, multiplayer fps ... what?

I have played a lot of games, started on the C64, owned an appleIIe (and played hundreds of games on it, notable includes the Ultima series, and car wars), played mutliplayer bbs games, played around on a mac+, was there for windows 3.11, played x-trek on the sparcs at the local university in high school, owned a win98 computer, played muds in college, owned several linux computers, played doom, quake, unreal, and countless others.

Favorite games include: Ultima 4, lemmings, load runner, barren realms mud, x-trek, x-com, psychonauts, leather goddess of phobos, doom, warhammer 40k dow, masters of Orion, car wars, half life, fallout, tetris, nethack (and derivatives) and probably a dozen more that I have not had enough coffee to think of.

DUKE NUKEM 3D FTMFW! I cant remember what the online community was called but I know when I signed up for it they sent me a shirt and dog tags with my screen name on em. Was pretty damn badass in fact im pretty sure Duke Nukem was the badest of all asses.

I started with M1 Abrahms Tank game by microsoft. YOu controlled a platoon while your oponnent controled the sovet army.

Started in a clan called the Saladshooters (also from texas) pre-steam counter-strike from patches 1.0 to 1.5ish then I went to a game called Tibia..2d mmo horrible graphics but extrememly fun.... then I went to WoW was in a top 10 worldwide guild that eventually fell apart earlier this year...and now I am here
