Team Switching
I am sure that this subject has been discussed here before but I feel the need to vent a little. I am not going to call the people out that were team switching but to me this is inexcusable. There is nothing that pisses me off more than someone that can't handle losing. I don't think my team won one round the entire night but there is no excuse for team switching so you can win. I also think that the regulars here should have enough sense to even things out. We go our asses handed to us most of the night but not one person from the other side came over to help. I am not going to sit here and say that every time my side dominates the other I feel compelled to switch sides to even things out but there is absolutely a threshold of the amount of dominance to where he/she should have enough gumption to say "Hey, maybe I should switch teams and even things out a little". I completely understand the "high" you get from total domination but I think we can all agree that there has to be somewhat of a moderation that one should be subject to endure in one evening.
I guess you could take the side that I am somewhat of a sore looser, which I somewhat agree in some sense of it but are we not here to promote team play and comradery? I know I watched as several people were signing off in absolute disgust of what just happened and isn't that the opposite of what we are trying to do?

Re: Team Switching
Team switching for gaining WIN points and bettering you're ratio is NOT team playing. That's being a self-indulgent asswipe that gets you nowhere fast here. Unless I stand corrected, with the appropriate documentation of the incidents taking place, i.e. SS's, this is a kickable/possibly bannable offense.
I understand your frustration with uneven teams. I was there the other night with a whole team of invalids and non-teamplayers, I was trying to be helpful while I was commander, but the SL's made it impossible, two of which (Disp0sableHer0, and Pappie51) are examples of complete and utter inappropriate behavior. One told me to F off the other repeatedly refused orders. Of course, there were no admins on at the time, hell it was Saturday night and football games were on, so i understand, but DAMN..
I'm relatively an unselfish player, only in game...hehehe, so I will switch sides if i see complete an utter domination.

Re: Team Switching
I really only switch teams when the team I am on is totally dominating for a few rounds. Most of the times it evens out fairly quickly so there is no need for a switch. Other than that it drives me crazy to see people hopping from winning team to winning team.

Re: Team Switching
Eh, I don't mind if I see all the 5th or BFH people trying to get on one side so they can play together, and sometimes there are certain people you like squading with.
I don't think any of the regs (whom I interact with on a regular basis, anyway) would change sides solely to be on the winning team. Doesn't seem like any of our styles.

Re: Team Switching
Switching is not by itself bad, but if you consistently flip back and forth to try to get wins that is.
That being said, if your on the winning side switching to the weaker side is strongly encourage. Nothing feels better than taking command of the team that just lost 5 straight and pounding the hell out of an overconfident team.
In my book if you are regularly willing to jump to the weaker side to try to fix them up, you are more than forgiven for jumping to the stronger team to play with friends or clanmates.
