i got problems

lmao, ok, now im having a different problem. my cd key is invalid which is a registry problem with vista where i have 2 go into registry editor and put x9392 in infront of my cd code, or so i thought. this was how i have been able 2 play since getting a new comp, but now its not working. so ill keep trying 2 reinstall and do this unless some1 has a better solution. sorry for not getting 2 kill yall, but maybe will b back soon.

Ok well, it looks like im gonna be down for awhile besides having my invalid cd key crap going on, i have to leave home and head outta state for some work for awhile again :3 at this point im not sure when ill be back on, hopefully sooner then later, i got some knifing to take care of when i get back "cough" ROB "cough"

So, does anyone that has vista have or had the "invalid cd code" error? I had it before and sovled the problem by going into registry edit and putting x9392 in front of my cd code, but this time it is not working. I have reinstalled and tryed many times but get the same error code. Any suggestions? (besides installing xp, my computer will not let me install it)

yes i have uninstalled both with the wizard and also manually via ea support. Yes i have contacted ea about this matter and the best solution they had was unistall manually then reinstall in a certain way ie. bf2 then 1.4 patch then sf and patch again. This also didn't work then they said well the game is not supported for vista and that was all they could do, so i did some research online and found the registry edit solution, but unfortunately that is not working for me this time :3

To bad EA doesn't make a program to clear their programs from your registry, so many other companies do. Though mostly not game makers.

yea that is too bad, but ea support gave me the registries for bf2 and told me how to manually go in and delete them. I have done that also, no success :3

I don't know if anyone has said it before (couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread), so I'll toss it out here. I used to CTD all the freakin' time as Kel can attest to. And I run Vista. So I downloaded a Vista Hotfix from Nvidia and haven't crashed since.

So if you're running Nvidia, you should check it out.
