Policy Question, Booting people from squads on startup
I was playing today and the round started and I joined the first group to form up, which happened to be lead by =TOE=F22raptorpilot
Mind you, I had no particular reason to choose that squad other then it was the one forming up at the moment and the teams fill up fast. A few seconds later (after all the other teams fill up) the squad leader announces over mic that if you are kicked don't come back to his squad. 3 seconds later half the squad including myself are sitting squad less and everyone else's team has filled up.
I am not a bad player. I always play as a team and follow orders. Why is it then squad leaders can just up and dump half the squad for no reason or explanation?
Ok I am done venting...I am gonna go and play something else.

Re: Policy Question, Booting people from squads on startup
Hmm... well, that is definitely frustrating, but ultimately the squad leader is in charge of who he or she wants in the squad. There was probably a reason for such choices, although it may have been that the SL had a good squad last round and wanted to get the same people back.
In any case, it's not very polite, but you could always try forming a new squad, and inviting everyone who was kicked from the last one. I find that people are pretty receptive to squad invitations, even if they've been playing solo for a while.
Edit: Oh, and by the way... 1000 posts! Woohoo!
...I now officially spend waaaay too much time here.

That's when you change sides, and make it your sole purpose to give him a negative K/D %. Join my squad some night.. We'll be shat on the whole time and ridiculed, but it's amusing I'm sure hearing me get drunk as the night goes on!

Re: Policy Question, Booting people from squads on startup
In all the time I've been a squad leader I've only ever kicked two people. And that's because those people would not follow orders and did not have a mic to give me a reason why they weren't following orders.
Most of the time if someone doesn't want to play by the rules I usually give them the standard TTP fare, "On this server we follow the commanders orders and the commander wants us to do _______. If you don't want to play as a team you can leave the server OR be banned by the admins. It's that or get your ass in gear."

Re: Policy Question, Booting people from squads on startup
Thanks all. I thought about switching sides and making it a Raptor safari. I can understand booting peps that don't follow orders are just general tards and can't play. I wasn't even given a chance. I had a chance to cool off now and it's all good. Nothing a couple beverages couldn't fix.

Eh...wanting to have a clan squad or something that round, I suppose I could understand. Why raptorpilot would do it...no idea, especially given that he kicked you out of his squad. I guess he didn't want to have a good squad.

I think he was trying to keep it consistent with the previous rounds.
I don't think it was you, however, tking if you're kicked off a squad isn't an appropriate response. I've seen a few people do that.

Re: Policy Question, Booting people from squads on startup
As Squad Leader it's his duty to give out orders, and squad members must follow. He has every right as Squad Leader to do what he thinks is best for the squad. However, this doesn't mean he can disrespect anyone or be rude to anyone. If a squad member isn't doing what they are told, then Warn and Kick explaining why. If you want to make room for someone, explain that to the member you are kicking. Just because someone is Squad Leader it does not automatically give him the right to become a complete dick. There has been some occasions where I've seen Squad Leaders talk to members like they are disciplining them. That is taking it too far and reaching past the boundaries of the game and making it personal.
