Re: punk buster
The only things that Punkbuster will kick for automatically are being idle and (obviously) cheating or running a game with altered content. Admins are generally in control of kicking players who aren't in squads, but standard procedure is to issue a warning first. That said, it is easy to miss the scrolling text if you aren't in-game. How long were you sitting unsquadded?

Re: punk buster
usmc,
Admins kick for not joining a squad. No big deal. Now you know.
Remember that you are joining the best server in the world. You have to learn quick in that thing.
It's best to find a buddy or two in the forums that are willing to join the game with you and talk you through. I need to do the same with our CS:S. It still intimidates me.

Re: punk buster
I'll enlighten you on how to join a squad so you never get kicked again. there are two ways to do this.
---------Before spawning-----------
You'll find yourself in the weapons selection screen. Hit your "Caps lock" to switch into the squad screen. You can create your own or join someone Else's squad by clicking "Join" which will be located beside their squad name. You can then spawn Green (Squad leader) by "Caps Lock" which will take you back into the spawn menu. You can leave this squad at any time by following the same instructions and hitting "Leave" located beside the squad name.
---------After Spawning-------------
Hit "Caps Lock" And it will take you into a menu with squad names. While in this menu your character will be vulnerable to all attacks. You can use the steps in the last section to join and leave the squad.
--------Other notes------------
If you hit the down arrow located beside "Join" "Leave" squad it will show you a list of your squad members. You can click on each individual name to find their location on the map (They will become white) This is really helpful to find people who are not following your orders since you can put a name with that green dot 10 miles away.

Re: punk buster
Are you sure about that, They Issue lots of warnings at the top...Sure its not just Punk Buster? Are you getting a specific message every time your kicked because I've had the problem of getting auto disconnected before, but I can't remember the reason. Anyways try another server if your booted within a few seconds then it could be thats your problem.

Re: punk buster
As kelderos said, it could be a punkbuster issue, and you may need to update your punkbuster files or you game. In any case, if it was an admin for not being in a squad, the admins often have to deal with a lot of problems at once, and may not have the time to issue a warning to every single unsquadded person, and then wait a few minutes, and then kick them. It's especially hard when the admins are in-game and also have to deal with hacking accusations, and people in their squad all talking at once. It's unfortunate, but it happens, and like ebaconjr said - the server does hold players to higher standards than anywhere else. Now you know, and it's a very simple thing to hit Caps Lock as soon as you connect and join a squad.

Re: punk buster
punkbuseter kickd you for not joining squad and then it would not let me rejoin for 5 min and i am sure i was watching the messages that is one thing some one else told me to do i was picking a squad and was just kicked it would not be soo bad if i could just rejoin now i have to wait again for another 3 nights to get again... i purchased this game specificly to play on ttp servers and then this
makes me wonder and i am sorry if i would have played for 15 min not on a squad thats one thing but as soon as i join a serever is something different give people a chance to do what they need to do first slow up on the trigger. :4

Re: punk buster
Its easy to get into the server and theres two ways to do it. Either you buy a reserved slot or you wait until the end of the round.
You can also watch the scores, Its almost impossible not to get into the server at the end of a round. Most End Game Scores on Bf2 end in 50-80 points for the #1 guy. You can also look at the K/D ratio of the players up top. On Average the best player in a round should get about 20-30 kills or have 50 in the other Column.
