New to TTP and interested in BF2/2142

I was wondering what you guys end up playing more these days? I own both BF2 and 2142 and havent logged into either of them in a while. I got sick of not being able to find a decent team server to play on. I recently found TTP via the Team Fortress 2 server and have been enlightened. What is more worth my time to brush up my skills on? I think both games have the potential for great teamplay but I guess I favor 2142 for its more brutal close quarters combat. BF2 hit detection seems off to me in comparison.

Welcome to TTP-land! Make yourself at home here and read up, there is a Forum and Topic for everything here!

You obviously haven't played BF2 on TTP's servers, at least not in a while. I find BF2 plenty intense here, while I am apparently not a big fan of 2142. I guess the best way to sum it up would be to say that to each his own. TTP has both a BF2 server AND a BF2142 server, so knock yourself out, visit both!

Dont listen to him hes just scared to come on the bf2142 server. lol try them both out man. I play both dont bf2 seems more laggy for me so i stick to bf2142.

This would be the best 2142 server ever team play is the law

The server is currently under merging and the kinks are being worked out tho with the new patch :-(

Check them both out. They're a lot of fun! I doubt I would have ever enjoyed a battlefield besides 1942 without TTP being around.

I just got BF2142 last week and I can attest that you won't be disappointed with the TTP server (or any of the other ones for that matter).

Have yet to dust off BF2 and give it a shot here but maybe someday.

I play both. although I havent played BF2 in a while I would have to say it is all to your taste in a game. Primarily I like the simulation side to battlefield (tanks jets UAVs and what not) and others just like to shoot at each other, and they can play counterstrike till their eyes turn red.
As for gaming experience TTP is the best there is. I can say we have an awesome lot of regulars here on the 2142 side and I haven't met too many of the new generation out there on BF2 (given my long absence from bf2) But I have no doubt in my mind that they are awesome people to play with. No doubt!
So where ever you decide to shoot your guns, the future or the not so future, you are going to have a great time so long as it is on TTP.

I played a few rounds on the 2142 server and it was definitely worthwhile. Haven't played on the BF2 server yet but I plan to here soon. I'm sure it'll be exactly like all the rest of their servers.
