Is it just me, or do you guys like tricking noobs on the motel scavenge too?
Whenever I see a charger coming for me, I run into the pool, get the charger to chase me, and get out of the pool and stand still. Most of them are in that very shallow edge of the pool, and when they charge me they hit that lip immediately, and I run up and kill them

well its not just there, its any and everywhere. for some reason, when people see a survivor from 50 meters away they line up a charge exactly where the survivor is at that moment, and assume that they wont move. And then they scream and call BS when they miss

I fucking hate that for everything. Not just the Charger but all SI.
Survivor or SI, I hate it when a hit connects and the animation itself is nowhere near how the swing should have hit.
Its BS how I can't dodge shit like that. Fucking I would be a so pro Tank dodger/juker if they fix this shit.
Also to make sure my post is on topic.
Protip/Bug:
When you actually do connect a charge, spam/mash on your melee button and when the Charger hits a wall and starts to slam the Survivor into the ground you will be able to fit in a "melee" hit before the first ground slam. This only works once at the beginning and with a fairly nice amount of time before the window of opportunity is closed.
Allows you to deal about 10 extra pts of dmg. Or something to that extent.
You can tell it worked by listening for the melee hit sound clip when you hit the wall or stop.
If this is against forum rules. I think there was a thread about sharing bugs somewhere. Then mods can simply edit this out. Or I can do it too. Or we can race to see who can edit the post first

yes. that is what im saying. Attack at close range, preferably where there is a large area in front of you, or an environmental hazard/obstacle. Without lag, when the survivors are moving around like normal, how many times out of ten do you hit them when you charge from far away? Now do a similar experiment and charge at close range, the only variable changed is the distance from where you start your charge. Now how many times out of ten did you hit your target? Much more I'm sure.

That kind of depends. Last night i was playing and someone got a barf bag off in the stairways of DeadC2. I jumped right into the stairway and started punching the snot out of them. I must of gotten 6 or 7 good punches off before charging them down the stairs into a pool of spitter acid. It wasn't pretty.
I think with a charger, when in doubt knock em out. Charge them at the last second just to mess them up and cause chaos.
Its funny that most peoples natural reaction when they see a charger punching them is to use a melee weapon and try to wack em. Then you take a few steps back and the line them up perfect.!!!WiCkEd VOooOdooooO TerRrroRR!!!

Lately, what I have seen work quite nicely in Versus Mode is the combination of using the Smoker to constrict the Survivor in one place and then use the Charger to dish out the kill.
Also, Yesterday I was playing C2M3 (roller coaster) and tried charging someone behind a closed door but it stunned me. Was this a recent patch I missed?, because I remember you could charge right through closed doors in the Hotel of Dead Center.

Its already hard enough being a tank in L4D2. Its easy enough as it is to jump over a tanks punch. Personally i would like the tank to get a major speed boost or when he punches the ground make the nearby survivors stumble and slow down for a few seconds. Hes to slow, add bullets being fired at him and hes even slower.
Just the last game i played my whole team had like 20 life each and we where all doging the tank like the joke he is and killed him in seconds. We didn't heal because we didn't need it. Silly tank, run away and throw rocks because thats all your really good for.
Seriously wish valve would get their head out of their ass and fix the tank already.
If i could fix the tank i would.
-Make him fire proof
-Make him as fast as a healthy survivor (Bullets do slow the tank down)
-Give him the abilty to pound the ground and make nearby players stumble.
-Give him waaaaaaaaay more health.
The tank should be more than just a rock throwing sissy. If myself and 3 other players with no health just jumped and dodged a few punches and killed him in 3 seconds then theres something wrong with the tank. Might as well just make the tank a common special infected now...!!!WiCkEd VOooOdooooO TerRrroRR!!!
