Northern Strike issue
Yeah, ok. I posted about visiting the future before. But I still can't get Northern Strike to work. And I remember from being booted off BF2 every time Tampa came around (and that is just 1 map in the rotation) that I will need it to enjoy the server. And there is only one server, am I right?
Anyways, I have tried the uninstall-reinstall 2142-patch-install NS-patch. No go.
So the question is; do any of you have a lot of know-how, a big heart and x-fire or similar? Cause I could use some real time help with walkthroughs and such.
My X-fire is wolverinebrother.
Thanks. For when the One Great Scorer comes, to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost, but how you played the Game

Re: Northern Strike issue
This little help you need:
go to start and go to run type regedit to edit the registry.
Than go to the location like this:
[This computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\batlefield 2142]
Than doubleclick the version to change 1.40 to a earlier version like 1.25
Hope this helps
also might delete the old registry of 1.25 first.

Re: Northern Strike issue
I had this problem when I first installed NS. I found some info that said to rerun the patch after the NS install (this was 1.25 at the time). I did so and the problem was solved. In other words, installing NS over a patched game reverts the version, and the current patch must be rerun to get the game back to current version. I haven't had to reinstall recently, and I don't know if the 1.40 patch is cumulative or not, so if you have to reinstall you may want to install the original game, then NS, then run 1.25 (if 1.40 isn't cumulative), then run the 1.40 patch. If 1.40 is a cumulative patch (includes all changes made to the software in all the previous patches) then running that should bring everything in the game up to current version.

Scavange or Versus?
I bet this question has popped up in the Versus sub-forum, but anyway. Which one do you prefer?
I personally like Versus most as I like the long struggle of a good Team Versus matchBut Team Scavange is equally mind-blowing

Versus, obviously. Scavenge is moreso just a spin-off.
