Thread: RDX on the titan core.

For my part, I will never punish a recon player trying to blow the core if I'm stupid enough to let myself get killed in the blast. And as someone who just recently got a decent enough Recon kit together to really go after Titan components, I'm sure I will rack up a few TK's going for the win. Truth is I've spent most of my career so far as Assault, but with the new Recon kit I've managed one core so far...may there be many more, please God... :6 :9

I go eng on titan attack for two things. First, three pilum rounds take out console (and do progressive damage unlike three rfx that don't get blown because you died). You rarely tk with pilum. Second, defuser. Not used much but it helps when you can.

Pilum is better than smg's in core but not by much. People need to learn to MOVE AWAY FROM THE FRIGGING CORE when there's rfx on it.

Also, Rhys, if you don't know already, Mine Bait does the job of defuser but better; it blows up any explosives near where it hits. Unless they "fixed" that in 1.4, at least.

Didn't know that one. Have to try it some time. Only thought the defuser work on that stuff. Could be interesting.

actually in addition to the mine bait and defuser dont' forget the RDX shotty, a few of those will blow up placeable RDX after the patch.. one of the few usefull, ahem, improvements anyway *grin*

And if you don't have an Engineer, there's always the tried-and-true "N00b Fodder" method.

Vote > Return to Lobby. If it fails then fuck the other team and quit.

If you are the 4... patiently wait as the survivors to see if they get more players. If not.. Vote > Return to Lobby.

This is also why I will instaquit if the lobby leader tries to start the game with anything less than a full lobby unless he oks it with everyone.
