11-27-07, 10:42 AM #1Windowed Mode?
So I am just curious, say I jump on the server like now when there is no one on. I'd make it one player. Is there a way to make the game run in windowed mode? so I can sit on the forums/do anything but sit alone on a server. I know I can alt-tab or alt-esc but I am looking for something that would have the window sitting there so I could click and watch then go back to what I was doing, or even throw it on my second monitor to just keep an eye on.

Re: Windowed Mode?
yes, there is a way. I don't think hitting F's will work.
Here's how:
1)Place the BF2 icon as a shortcut on your desktop.
2)Right click the shortcut and click properties
3)Where it says 'Target', click in it and go all the way to the right
4)Where it says '+ fullscreen 1, replace the 1 with a '0' and you should have a windowed version

Re: Windowed Mode?
I've never tried that "fullscreen 0" attrib but I have a similar issue .. I just bought a 22" samsung widepanel and now use my old 19" 4:3 as a secondary monitor. No matter what kind of window I have BF2 in, it (or CS:S or WMP or any other full-screen app for that matter) will minimize.
Given that my job is to deal with stuff like this, but I haven't put enough time into researching it. Good luck!

This will allow you to set a custom resolution that may not be available on the menu

Here is how to adjust your POV

The whole thread is pretty informative though.

Now that I think about it I think I may just take a monitor from my library....
They have a junk Pile and it is often filled with old CRT monitors and if I can get a working one I could try and clear space on my desk for it.
And thank you soy for those threads I'll check em out

Re: Windowed Mode?
Yes .. they did indeed look helpful. I just tried doing it very quickly and couldn't get it to 1680*1050 in addition to the widescreen switches
here's my commandline:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen +szx 1680 +szy 1050
