Re: A Race
So just a little expansion on this, Braddoc and I were playing Highway Tampa last night on another server trying some stuff out and found a totally fun way to spend your time on that map (if your screwing around). You could use this strategy while following orders too though and being a team player.
Braddoc was the driver and was support with infantry detection beacon, I was engineer and had roller mines and vehicle detection beacon.
1. Put the infantry & vehical detection beacon on a FAV and jump in. Have the support troop drive and the engineer get in the 3rd position (the back seat) of the FAV.
2. Now drive around as fast as you can and find armor, have the driver speed by the armor while the engineer drops mines out of the back. The engineer gets points for kills and the support gets points for resupplies while doing all of this for an added bonus.
Note -- The engineer should also spawn with the anti-air gun to take care of any pesky gunships that might be on your six.
3. Have the engineer drop roller mines and switch back to repairing the vehicle often. We were able to keep the vehicle repaired while taking direct hits from gunships & walkers using this method.
The killers for us were tank shots and infantry who get lucky killing the guy in the back seat. Another advantage of this where I think it would help the team out is you can quickly move from silo to silo & you act as a mobile infantry & vehicle detection beacon. If one of the guys is squadleader you also act as a mobile spawn point. Pretty nifty if you ask me.
I wish we would have had someone else to take screenshots of us or a video. All I know is I laughed so hard I nearly soiled myself and we had a great time.

Re: A Race
it was pretty fun. i definitely proved myself as a decent FAV driver by outrunning and outmaneuvering this guy in a gunship last night. he is one i would rate as a "very good" flyer. was able to continue to pull 180's and keep his gunner trying to cap us. and it's fun as hell to casually ride up next to an unsuspecting enemy walker, and park right beside him like nothing's going on, while your engineer is dropping rollies at his feet.
i say bring on the race. maybe 3 persons per car. i would go support driver, with infantry sonar (for anybody dumb enough to be standing on/near the track), and 2nd person engineer with vehicle sonar (so you can keep track of where they are), and the 3rd person, engineer in the back to toss rollies and emp mines.
