glitch?or bug?

i have been away from from BF2142 for about a 7 months i just started playing again in November and i have a permenant away bonus ever since i started playing again ever round i would get an away bonus ex. i got 50 points by the end of the game but after away bonus i get (+30 or so) and other factors i get about 106 points

Well, damn! The away bonus goes down pretty quickly, so if you've been getting 30 points consistently since you started, well... do a little dance, and would you mind lying down in front of the FAV a few times to help some other people get some points too?

My original guy is still racking up Away bonus points, I haven't used him in over a year now, I'm betting it would take a year just to finally use up all those away bonus points.

I still get a few Away bonus points on Allane2142, but it's max recently is 5 bonus points, so it doesn't help much... In other words, it's hardly a bug or a glitch, it's just backed up Away bonus points.

Just their way of giving you a little R&R. It's still way faster and fun to play for your points.

I took a 4 month layoff and I'm still getting away bonus 2 weeks after my return. There's a formula based on how long you were gone, how much away bonus you get...

There was a long discussion thread on another forum on this and one of the DICE guys said that he couldn't post the exact formula, but that suffice it to say you get x points for every day you're gone. Each round you play upon your return you get an increasing amount of away bonus until you reach the max of 30. It starts with 3 points, then 5, then 8... and it progresses to 30 and you stay at 30 until you disconnect or you exhaust your away point pool. Then the next time you connect, it'll start over again... ad nauseum until all your points are gone.

Ahhhhh..... so even while i can't play, I am getting points for a promotion I will never see. Sweeeeet.

The odd thing I noticed. 2142-stats.com doesn't seem to update my average time per day unless I connect and actually get in game. Connected once after the first few days out, time updated. 10 days later, joiuned server, let map load, but did not start game and disconnected from server. Time per day did not update.

At least I still have freecell..............
