Hey people..Iam not bitching in anyway just giving feedback to the server admins..PLaying last night i noticed some bad lag and asked a few ppl if they were getting teh same thing and a bunch were..right clicking to teh sights view starts to go then automaticly goes back to teh crosshair view..so i have 2 press it twice which got me killed more then a few times..and random stutter..I have a pretty good machine iam using to play so i know its not me.

Since you have had limited time from the posts you have made, that I have read, you have not been kept up to speed with the news. SJT had a big post on the homepage about Leaving our host AWOC or something like that...the guys after we left thePlanet, and now we are moving yet again however these servers have been doing well. 2142 was the first to move from my understanding and has had a significant increase in reliability. So they got it under control and we should all be playing happy and in PR by the end of the weekend!

Make sure you check PR btw if you havn't already!

edit -- and of course while writing my novel Civil beat me to it!

Hey, I made a site that makes finding your steam ID easy:

Steam ID Finder

You can input in any of the following:
- custom url eg. http://steamcommunity.com/id/brosephus
- custom id eg. brosephus
- profile url eg. Steam Community :: ID :: Broseph - GN
- profile id eg. 76561197994773938
- works backwards to get your profile ID from your steam ID if you just input something like STEAM_0:0:17254105

Basically it uses easy to find public information (your profile number or custom name) to spit out harder to find public information that usually you'd have to go in game for.

Threadstarter, my apologies if this is indeed genuine, but we have a long history here of scammers joining up and linking to various things designed to steal people's accounts. Unfortunately, caution is often the best way with links that are unfamiliar that have anything to do with Steam.

I understand that, but we've seen all kinds of crap here, and am just voicing a note of caution.

Just out of interest, why would I ever need to find my Steam ID? Surely I'd know that already, having created it when I signed up? :-/

I think you're thinking of the wrong ID.

Steam ID refers to this thing: STEAM_0:X:XXXXXX

Here's what you would need it for:
- signing up for any competitive team
- adding admins in sourcemod and other admin mods
- banning people

Most of the time it's other people's ID's that I need and not my own.
