Silly AK, the SAAW won't lock on to the FAV when you go sailing OVER a hill, try FLYING when I have my SAAW out. :P

If you want to neutralize SAAWers while Flying, you just have to fly smart. Be aware of the general area you are being locked on at and only make quick, deliberate strikes on targets where you know exactly where they are. The trick is to fly high, around 300 or so, swoop down at full speed, attack, and then instead of flying back into the air you duck behind hills and fly low to the ground until you are out of the area, and then fly back up to high altitude. Be aware that the higher you go, the faster you travel, if you get the lock signal and you are flying around 150 altitude, sometimes it is best to fly up and level out to increase your speed. Diving doesn't necessarily increase your speed in the gunship. But don't fly straight up, gain altitude and level out, gain altitude and level out. Kinda like climbing stairs, but you have to fly parallel to the ground to gain speed.

I'm a badass pilot, I just can't kill much of anything. Stupid enemy gunships, shooting me down instead of flying around and enjoying the sights.

Of course, I never really get to practice my "leet skillz" because squad leaders don't need to be up in the air in a gunship. :3

Same with SAAWing. If I'm squad leading, I don't bother with it. Hunting gunships is a lot like sniping, just more bang for the buck. But if I am going for aircraft, I can't lead a squad effectively. And I had decided a few weeks ago to start squad leading and commanding more.
