Thread: Who are the best gunship pilots on the server?

I'm curious to know exactly what all the stats mean and how they're calculated. I think the vehicle stats are fairly straightforward,

time: total time riding in [vehicle]
Kills: how many total people I've killed while riding in [vehicle]
Destroyed: how many [vehicle]s I've killed
Deaths: how many times I've died riding in [vehicle]
K/D ratio: Kills while riding in [vehicle] / Deaths while riding in [vehicle]
Road Kills: LOLkills, note that if you're in a vehicle and you shoot something that explodes and kills someone that counts as a roadkill

But the weapon stats are different. For example the Voss L-AR. I haven't unlocked this weapon so the only way I can get a hold of one is by picking up someone else's kit (I can't get it through field upgrades). Yet somehow I've managed to get 895 Deaths with the Voss. This leads me to believe that for weapons the death statistic is how many times you've been killed by someone using [weapon]; instead of how many times you've been killed holding [weapon].

So in this regard the weapon and the vehicle statistics don't match up. The vehicle K/D ratio is how many kills you have Vs. how many deaths you have while riding in [vehicle]. The weapon K/D ratio is how many kills you have Vs. how many kills other people have against you using [weapon]. This accounts for Laggy's intimidating 23.51 K/D ratio with the SAAW. He doesn't actually average 23 kills every time he spawns with a SAAW.

My understanding was it wsa when you were killed BY the weapon that was being recorded in the stats. I also thought it applied to vehicles as well. At least, that would be the most logical assumption in my mind.

Actually, I'm quite ok with that thought.

I know how to do the barrel rolls shown on that video, that is not a barrel roll it is a 180* turn, so you can turn directly around instead of takeing a long turn path. Ive found it useful to do many of these and then a flip when dodging a gunship.

I have one other thing to say here the guy in the video says barrel rolls are possible. I say no because a true barrel roll is when you fly strait and do a sideways flip, he is flipping 90* and doing a half loop, also known as the 180* turn. True stait barrel rolls are impossible in the gunship, 180* turns are not.

When I ran out of promotion possibilities, I started picking up other weapons just to try to get the K/D rations back to the right side. Then got hung up on the SAAW once I saw the fits I started giving the gunship pilot.

My WORST K/D ratio? The lambert - .05

Can you tell which weapon I never use? Only have had 59 kills with it so far. Heck, I've got more kills with each pistol than I do the lambert, and I HATE the pistols.

I got better than that, and on a REAL weapon, laggy!

Zheller: 2 kills, 184 deaths. 0.01 K. Course, I don't have it unlocked, but still...
