What were you thinking when you choose your BF2 nickname?
Hey Guys!
With this being my first post, I introduce myself with a question many may have wondered but never really asked; unless it has been already posted here before.
What were you thinking when you choose your BF2 nickname?
In my case, Skinner, it goes way back to the days of Quake I, when I used to play with friends over a LAN. My friends back then used names such as “Reaper”, “Murderer”, “Butcher” and so on. Names that were some what simple and delivered the message of “stay away or I will kick you in the ass” Remember guys this was mid-late nineties! So I asked myself, what kind of name can I use that could have my opponents running in fear, one that is unique and nobody would ever use? A name that could mean that I am someone who could bring physical pain to my opponents! I got it! Its’ Skinner! Yes! You know the guy who can skin you alive! Oooh scary…..!
Well, it did sort of work back then, very short time actually. Now a day I’m confused with “Professor Skinner” from “The Simpsons”, “Burrhus Skinner” a highly influential American psychologist, and “Walter Skinner” the character from the series the “X-Files”. Ohhh very scary!
Since then I stayed with this name, don’t really a have specific reason why, I guess it’s my default game name.
See you guys on the battlefield!

well welcome to the forums, check the stickies, make some posts meet some people. Take a look at the SF and PR server forums, SF is a child board of this one and PR gets its own board.
The subject has been brought up in the past, I believe the last revival of that subject was a few months ago.
Though my name, is simply my initials, school initials and a date.

Skinner!!! Welcome to the forums!
I was visiting some friends in California and after a night of some heavy boozing, we went to a place called Taco Bravo for some late night eating. Well, there was this item on the menu called the Boneyard. It was a 2 1/2 foot long burrito and cost $9. My friends said I couldn't eat the whole thing. They bought the burrito and I ate every last scrap! They started calling me Boneyard and the name followed me into BF2.

Welcome Skinner. Glad to have you in the forums. You will find there is no place like TTP. Make yourself at home and we'll see you on the server(s). We run Vanilla, SF,2142 and PR from the BF2 series. COD 4, TF2, DOD, CSS and ArmA. All great games.

My chose for this nickname goes back to when i use to play Everquest (I know not a firstperson shooter) but i like the nickname Sakore (Sack-ore) because you normally won't find a name like that anywhere except RPG's. Of course it was either that or Bunnifur.
