My favorite combo has to be the Sniper Rifle and Magnum. If I manage to get laser sights for the rifle I'm in heaven. I'm a pretty good shot so I can use both guns effectively and don't really miss the melee weapon. I prefer the magnum over dual pistols because I can make my shots count and it is better at dealing with SIs.

Unlike part one I usually don't keep the same load out throughout an entire map due to the lack of ammo piles. I'll often switch between tier 1 and tier 2 weapons if that's all that is laying around. I'd much rather have a chrome shotgun fully loaded then a Sniper Rifle with no ammo.

My combo is M16 and Dual Pistols with either a pipe bomb or bile jar and adrenaline. I never choose a defib unit over a health pack.

I dont rely on my ol' autoshotgun all the time, and no people shoudn't either. And yes every body in general should become half way decent with every weapon. I am half way decent with every weapon(not trying to brag here), except the hunting rifle in L4D2. I dont like the position its in on L4D2, I feel like somethings about to hit me. As for the auto shotty yes I do agree with the fact that they decreased the ammo but they decreased it way to much. What is it hold like 50 rounds or something. That is just ridiculus when on average your killing 150 zombies on normal. I understand on advanced or on expert you will have to change guns when your killing x amount of zombies(more than normal Im guessing), but on normal I shouldn't have to change weapons. It's not like its a big deal or anything but still its a annoyance that I am not to fond of.

I tend to use a combination of the M16/AK-47/Auto Shotgun/Sniper Rife, along with a melee weapon, most preferably the Katana or Axe. I also usually match that with a pipe bomb or a boomer bile for quick elimination or stalling of hordes. Adrenaline for my meds, unless not available, in which case I am usually fine with pills. To top it off, I like to use the pretty much essential med kit xD

The better you are at using double pistols, magnums or melee weapons the less of a problem ammo becomes. The only time you should even have your main weapon out is during a horde, cresendo, SI attacks and finales. And the longer you choose to use double pistols, magnum or melee weapons during those moments the more ammo you save in the long run.

If you choose to blast and waste all your ammo on common zombies then you have to deal with the problem of running out of ammo at the worst times.

Its like a friend of mine always complaining about shotties not having enough rounds. And everytime i see him blasting a few commons with his shottie instead of headshotting them with his pistols i give him shit.

Assault Rifle (M16 or SCAR)
Melee Weapon (Machete or Nightstick)
Pipe Bomb (why do people hate the pipe bomb?)
FAK
Adrenaline (it varies sometimes though)
