for some reason everytime i get on a server to play punkbuster keeps kicking me off. i have all the latest patches but still it keeps kicking me off. any knowledge on this would help great. TY

Well try a few more times and if it does not work try reinstalling PB or if that doesn't work the game.

aside from kicking you out of the game....does it have any sort of message or error?
if so, what is it.

no it just kicks me out of the game and the only thing that pops up is a box saying 'Punkbuster'

have you recently ever been able to get into a 2142 game prior to this issue on this computer?
anything new installed since then on this computer...like the northern strike pack?

Make sure you have run pbsetup (available http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php) This will ensure you have the latest Punkbuster code on your machine. Punkbuster updates itself, but doesn't always do it terribly well. Forcing updates with pbsetup is recommended. I run it at least once a week.

The other night, after I ran Driver Cleaner and reinstalled my drivers, I got kicked by Punkbuster for 'modified content' so I reinstalled the 1.4 patch. After that, I You could try doing that as well.

Make sure punkbuster isn't blocked by any firewalls. If it is none of those programs will fix the problem.

i just recently got this labtop and installed 2142 on it, but with other ccomputers i have never had a problem. i have o wait for the patch to finish DL'ing so then i can try it again. my computer last night decided that it didn't like me so it erased my games.
