Reinstalling BF2 didn't fix my joystick problem, so I think it may just be the joystick.
Did you read my post? From your screenshot on the aircraft tab, it didn't look like you assigned all of your joystick buttons properly. Reread my post above.

Well I know, those joystick buttons work. The only problem is it isn't reading positive and negative axis so I can't fly in game with my joystick.

    Joystick Issue

    Re: Joystick Issue

Axe I'm sure you've done this, but if not here goes. You may or may not have to initially configure your joystick so your 'puter will recognize it meaning the general movements.

Once you fire up BF2 go to options, controls...You know all that.

For up and down all you have to do is set one direction and it will do both so to pitch forward, click that area and push your stick forward. That will set BOTH forward and backward. To set roll, click on roll left and move the joystick directly left. This will set BOTH roll left and roll right. To steer left, click on steer left and twist your stick to the left. This will set BOTH steer left and steer right.

Set up all your fire buttons the same way, switch mode, throttle, cockpit views, etc.

    Re: Joystick Issue

Thank you all for your input, I really appreciate it. Turns out that the USB slot that my joystick was plugged into was damaged and wasn't working properly. I tried a different USB slot and it works perfectly and it's responding perfectly as well. Not quite sure what could have caused this, but the good thing is that it's working properly. Thank you all again.

It's probalby a power Issue, I know my front USB ports do not have the same power output as the USB ports on the Motherboard. Not sure what can be done to increase the USB power output from front panel USB ports.

How could you not choose the greatest song ever? Known to mortals as Still Alive?
Just another pretentious indie developer. Here's my game development blog.

Well, Second choice would've been The Saints Will Never Come.

Jonathan Coulton made L4D2's best song, I loved it before L4D2 was released... So...
