Thread: downloading the 1.40 patch?

just one question how do i get the ea download Manager to download the 1.40 patch? or does any one know?

I've been trying ever since the patch came out to get it downloaded (like a month or so). Usually the download would fail before it completed, but whenever it actually completed the file would be corrupted. I ended up having to DL the file onto my computer at work, which has a better connection, and then bringing the file to my home computer on a flash stick. Now at long last I'm finally up and running again.

You can't download it off EA Download Manager, you could when they still had EA Link, but they changed that into EA Store. Try the battlefield Franchise website on the left hand side has all the latest downloads for all the BF games.

This is a little mod base server ready for Coop games ( from plug-ins found on the net
and files, all edited by me) which works on any maps ( which use vanilla objects
and weapons).
People to join do NOT need to download the mod to play.
You need Left 4 dead addon installed.(download it from Steam)

- Survivors carry more ammo
- Specials infected respawn time longer
- Survivors should shoot the head to stop the zombies (lower damage else where)
- Lots of zombies, 20 % more HP
- Shot gun damage/range 20 % increased
- Melee damage 10 % increased
- More objects on the map (pipe bombs, molos, pills,first aid ...)
- x3 pipe bombs or molotovs at the time
- Zombies see you from more far
- 5 different Uncommon zombies in all maps (riot, ceda, mud, roadcrew, fallen)
(plugin from AtomicStryker)
- If you have Pills or Adrenaline, you can stand up from Incaps
by yourself holding USE (plugin from AtomicStryker)
- Melee weapons at the start of each round in the saferoom (plugin from n3wton)
- Slow HP Regeneration for survivors up to 51 (on 100) (plugin from Mortiegama)
- Tank , double HP
- Survivor revive a bit more faster/ can be incapacitated more longer
- 4 CCS weapons (plugin from Crimson_Fox)
- lowering Friendly Fire

---------- To install :
1-backup your original “motd.txt” file in “left4dead2”
2-Install the folder "left 4 dead 2" in the games folder of STEAM
(For me is "common" folder = D:\steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2 )
3- To uninstall , erase files from mod , back your original “motd.txt” file

To start : start Steam, choose play online and local server (!!!) , invite friends on lobby or start game and wait people to join as they do not need to download the mod to play.

---------- Note:
- Works also in solo and survivors games.
- Game heavy on old PC and slow connection if more than 2 humans players.
- Joining a game or hosting a game in a non local server, You will play a vanilla game.
