Yesterday at 4:45-ish CT during a rather fun game of Berlin I was kicked to desk top…not an uncommon occurrence at home but almost never at the office (and that was were I was)..and when I was able to get back to the game a couple of minutes later it was starting Suez. Question is did the game actually end that fast or did the server restart?

It was just a bit frustrating because I was so out of my groove up till that game and then it finally clicked only to be groovus-interuptus.

Just curious.

The server crashed about 3-4 minutes into that game. Weird that it crashed you to desktop though.

I have had it crash me to the desk top a few times.

I crashed to desktop twice yesterday when the server went down. I blame 1.4. It's a convenient target. :9

CTD is much better than seizing up. I hate having to hard reboot my machine.

before I got my new comp my cs used to crash to desktop all the time

Yup, I CTD when the server crashes. Then I automatically go and delete that radial file, otherwise it will freeze on reload about half way on my puter, what a beech!

Sometimes it crashes me to desktop...and honestly that is just fine because it is to the point where if we crash, I restart 2142 anyway because I hate getting in and then finding out the crash killed the sound/mic.

2142 isn't very friendly towards being interrupted while in-game. Some games, like CoD4 and the Source series of addictions games, you can alt+tab and do all sorts of happy things with them and they're fine, but the battlefield series gets all whiny about it.
