Hi there, all. I'm sure you've seen me about on the server. Just thought I'd drop you a line and let you know I'm interested in joining a clan for teamplay and whatnot. Love your server, just wish commanders could move titans. Peace.

Welcome aboard. As others will no doubt say: Read the Stickies...lots of important info there for newcomers to TTP. And the reason Titans don't move is 'cause of the lag that results ingame, especially on a 64 player server when all the slots are full.

Right on. About moving the titans, some servers I've seen have a rule about not moving titans past a certain silo or whatever. Might be worth considering. Not trying to tell you guys how to run things, just trying to contribute and help out. I'm buying the expansion online. Trying to play on other servers after being on TTP makes me want to punch a newborn in the face.

Well about the moving titans, it does cause a lot of lag to some players and TTP doesnt want any players to be left out because of what EA did, And about not moving it past 1 silo, we do it, its called locked titans... It is the exact same thing as locked titans. In other words it is not worth it and the community has grown around this and has strategies, best to just get used to it because I doubt it will change. On a different point you are right it is cool if titans could move then you could assign an entire squad to the titan guns, but again EA has it not very well done so there is super lag.

Gah, I just downloaded the Northern Strike expansion and it's not letting me connect to TTP. Its says something about how I'm running modded content and to revert back to original BF2142. I have no mods installed. Anyone else have this issue or know anything that I should know? Thanks.

reistall the patch NS does that sometimes. XD

No real problem, just rerun the 1.40 patch. Northern Strike is an old booster pack by now, so installing it reverts the version of the game to what was current when it was released. Repatching will solve the problem...

Did you reinstall 1.4 again after u installed NS? If not you may want to try that, it has been working that way for the maj. of us. and also be sure to update punk buster. Here are a couple places that might help.
