Re: Biting
If you don't like this game, there is something wrong with YOU, not the game.
Its seriously one of the most intense gaming expiriences that I've played.
I mean, imagine that you capping a flag. You can hear the crackling of distant sporadic automatic gunfire echoes across the battlefield to you. Then, BOOM, you are ambushed from the surrounding forest. Half your squad is shot to pieces in the first seconds of the barrage, the other half of your squad, you included, is pinned down while you desperately attempt to locate the enemy. Shots seem to be coming from every direction from unseen enemies. Your vision goes blurry as dust, debris, and dirt are kick up all around you while you think, "Shit, Bird's boys' are out there".
The cries for medics and ammo are all around you, along with the persistent, guttural, cough of people hacking up blood.
Gernades, RPG's, and light machine gun fire pepper the ground all around you as you pop smoke and tactically retreat, leap frogging back as you fire shots into the woods in a desperate attempt to pin down the enemy and make an escape so that your squad can regroup and flank the bastards.
You get to what you believe is a safe area, and you are looking at your squad leader as he sets up a rally point, only to watch his chest burst into a crimson cloud of blood; his body falls limp on the ground. You hit the deck and look in the direction the shot. You use your optics to zoom in and you find yourself staring at the scope of the enemies SVD. It takes but a fraction of a second to squeeze that trigger, but in that time thought go through your head. You know he has the jump on you. You know you are your squads last hope, "But how can I prevail?", you ask yourself.
You squeeze the trigger. The enemies body jerks and spasms before it falls limp and rolls down the hill.
You pull out a defibillator and shout, "Clear!", as you hear the enemies squad leader shouting commands less than a dozen meters away. "Go, go, go!", shouts your squad lead as you make a mad dash for the ridgeline.
You make it! And as you reach the crest of the hill, two Challenger Main Battle Tanks, like calvary in a western, come charging over the hill and take out the opposing forces' squad.
Two minutes have passed and you still have another two and a half hours left of the battle.
The whole time you were feeling genuine fear; you felt real panic, because, for some reason, you sincerely do not want to die in this mod. Its not like BF2 Vanilla, where if you charge into the open and die you're like, "Oh well. That may of been dumb", and spawn 5 seconds later.

Re: Biting
LoL... That is a great definition of a Fire Fight....
It sounds familiar. The name of this game is to stay alive and send them home in a box.
This is the Reality of the Battlefields. It's tuff, it's intense' it's the best TeamPlay available, everybody is counting on everybody, the squads work with each other, and the Team celebrates the Victory.
PR is awesome.
