I can only imagine trying to hit someone with the SAAW. Hell with that arc when not locked, you would dang near need to be aiming at their knees.

Well, when you know you're going to die and you don't have the time to switch to the SMG, you may as well pop off with 2 shots of the SAAW. Twice, it scared them into jumping away and giving me time to switch and kill them 1st. I mean all of a sudden, you got bullets you don't recognize flying at your face, it does make a few people flinch.

Typically though, if I meet another person head to head on foot and I have the SAAW in hand, I'm dead. Vehicles looking for me die a lot, but people get through. Just aint fair I tell you, I can kill gunships and vehicles, but people get me waaay too easy.

If you see a guy in an enemy uniform named 'Phaedro,' he his actually your friend. Let him come and give you a big hug...

Go with the pilum upgrade before the SAAW (imo). It's more useful since there are more land vehicles than air.

The engineer default anti-armor weapon is basically a guided rocket. You can steer it after you fire (follow a vehicle, make it go over a low hill...). However, the vehicles will get a lock on warning. The pilum is a direct line of fire weapon and there is no warning lock on in the enemy vehicles. It also does more damage than the rockets. You can hit air vehicles with the default weapon or pilum but it's not easy. The SAAW is anti-air only.

The back of the tanks is the best location to hit them since it's the weakest armor.

The bottom of the torso of the walkers have vents. One side has one center vent and the other's side has two vents on the side bottom. if you strike it, it can instantly blow up a walker (some times). Otherwise, hitting the legs does more damage than a torso shot.

FAV (jeep), hit it anywhere. Does about 98 percent damage.

APC's, hit the back or bottom, less armor there.

    Transports/Talon's, hit them anywhere.

Goliath, Northern Strike only vehicle. Hit the shield pads on the right, left, back and one on top front to reduce it's shield recharge rate. When all the shield pads are working, pilums and default weapon only annoy it.

If you pick up the dropped kit from other players, you'll get their unlocks until you respawn. Useful for playing with unlocks before you decide. Make sure to take a look at the unlock paths before you start unlocking stuff. Unfortunately, I like the emp mines, dystek repair 2.0 and motion mines but don't like the SAAW which is thats path's weapon unlock.

whats funny, is when you see someone pick up your kit, and not realize that its a SAAW and not a Sudnik and shoot nearby armor with it.

The armor goes, hmmmm, what was that sound and turns around to flatten the guy who is trying to figure out why the tank didn't die with a perfect tail shot.

APC's have a small vent on the back at the bottom which takes slightly extra damage.

Caveat - tanks zoomed in extremely long range on their gunsight..... I took out like 9 guys in a row shooting into silo 5 from the base on Shuhia. Turns out, 5 or 6 of them were friendlies. The extreme long range doesn't seem to allow IFF to work so well. The only reason I stopped was because a squad mate asked if I would pretty please quit killing my own team.
