This little beauty from Rock Band, i consider it a Boss since it's the hardest song in game and the last one you have to complete. Skip to 5:40 for the reason why it's so hard.

I'd say the Dark Genie from Dark Cloud is also. I still haven't beaten him yet.

But of course i don't subscribe to mainstream RPGs...heh..

The Stained Glass Demon from MediEvil.

This guy was my first real taste of a boss in a video game. I was only six when I started this game, and the Demon was my archnemesis. To the more older players he was a pushover, he was bound to be as he was the first boss in the whole game. But to me, he was equivilant to a final boss, and I got such a great feeling of triumph every time I defeated him.

The Wizard from Overlord.

The Wizard was probably one of my more memorable encounters. He's the last boss of the game but he's so damn epic to fight. It's a duel between two power-hungry villains who both want to rule the world and have their own armies of Minions locked in a civil war, the greatest 'Bad Guy V Bad Guy' music ever plays while your fighting him, and it just sends shivers down my spine every time I fight him, because I know I'm not fighting him to save the world from destruction, I'm fighting him to rule it... and maybe destroy it later if I'm in the mood.

That made my fingers bleed. Thank GOD I wasnt using that shitty stratocaster that came with RB. Love my cherry gibson SG.

Culex was a bitch, but not a forced boss. The Axem Rangers are also douchebags. But if you can get rid of the pink one first, you are close to golden. Fucking Petal Shower...

YouTube - Syphon Filter 2 (Hard Mode) - Mission 10: Morgan I HATED this boss as a child. I would either A: Stray to far from that stupid bitch Teresa, ending up with her dead = Mission Failed, or B: Survive Mr. Noobtube whore until just before I get that call from Teresa saying I can kill him.

Damn, I remember Ultimecia. She just... didn't... want to die. After killing her normal form, her Summon, the hybrid of her and her Summon, and finally the torso of her summon after her legs dropped off, I thought it was all over...

...Then appeared the WEIRDEST look for a Final Fantasy boss I had ever laid eyes on. Ultimecia's final form looks like it belongs in Silent Hill.

Damn, i seem to have forgotten the Boss Fight at the end of FFX. That to was epic.

These two from the GH series were bosses since you had to beat them to finish the game.

I really wish I had a PS3 at this point - solely so I could play the Final Fantasy games over again, FFVII/VIII/IX.

I kind of skimped on the rest of the Final Fantasys since then, unfortunately.

Think I'll replay FFVIII on the PC, actually.
