Untolerable Lag, Random Kicks, and CTD's

Sometimes my game runs smooth as hell; no problems, no lag. But more often than not I have lag of such intensity that I can barely play. I often get kicked by Punkbuster for various reasons, and occasionally my game just crashes to desktop. Its beginning to really piss me off. Maybe its my RAM, I do only have 1 gigabyte of it, and apperantly that isn't too good from what I've read here. Maybe its Punkbuster, I've had a couple of people tell me that. Maybe its my sound card, I've read that on PR's forums.

So, can anyone give me a link so that I can manually update PB? I've used the search feature of these forums, but apperantly I am not saying the right thing to get the desired results.

Also, can I get any tips on how to reduce lag, and/or these other issues?

    Many thanks.

You just gave yourself the million dollar answer. Go get another stick of Ram. I think it will solve all of your problems.

    Just do it.

Damn. That sucks because I am poor as hell right now.

*sigh* Time to get a girlfriend and lie about my birthday's date...again.

Just kidding, but it looks like newegg.com has some good deals. 2gigs for $34.99 (after rebate) looks good. Problem will be convincing a friend to use his credit card (and maybe I'll finally get my reserved slot).

Just for the hell of it, can someone get me a link to manually update PB?

I played earlier, and it ran perfectly (until I was flying a full transprt chopper, and my computer thought it might be a good time to freeze up). I turned down the graphics a notch, and it seems to of helped a tad.

I have 4 gigs of RAM. I cant count the times I have checked my memory usage and have been using 1.5+gb of memory while playing PR. 2 gigs is an absolute must. You do not need any more than 2GB, hell XP will not utilize all of it anyway.
