It's 6:32 Pacific time
And there's no TTP. There never is, I guess we all have lives or something. But the few random times that I can't sleep and want to shoot something I have to go slum around on Zombie Squad or Moongamers. How the hell are those servers ALWAYS full? I guess teamplayers have to be a part of society and work and sleep and raise little teamplayers when they aren't teamplaying...

Sonic 4: A step in the right direction, but still DOING IT WRONG.
It took them about 15 long years, but Sega have finally given me a 2D Sonic. 3D Sonic just doesn't work. Sonic 3D Blast was a fine departure from the series (not amazing, just fine) and Sonic Adventure was playable (I personally hate American long-limbed, cheesy rock, new-character-avalanche Sonic), but it should've stopped there (Sonic X-treme would've been HORRIBLE).
After waves of negative feedback, they've finally given us Sonic in 2D.
Bad news is the people involved assumed that's all that was needed.
Pros:
2D Sonic - Sales!
Music - Like the old Sonics, not really bad rock like Sonic Adventure and beyond.
Cons:
Stiff controls - Unlike in the old games, you don't whizz across the screen when you hold right. Heck, it takes a couple of seconds for the [s]guy[/s] hedgehog to start running.
Rehashed badniks - In the first zone, you'll encounter Emerald Hill and Green Hill badniks. And, erm, Marble Garden badniks...
Poor level design - The primary point of Sonic is that you go right really fast while looking awesome doing it (spinning around, flying through the air and shiz). However, in Sonic 4, as soon as Sonic goes from walking to running, a wall will stop that shit. Plus, the game expects you to make hefty use of the new homing spin attack (jump in the air then press again) to hit objects and springs and such, rather than to zoom rightwards, pressing down to tear through bad guys, which slows it all down.
Small screen - Maybe those with giant HD TVs can see more but I couldn't see more than a few metres in front/behind me. The two ways you play Sonic is you either whizz through it or you go exploring, but it's difficult to do either when you don't know where you're going or where you could explore...
Can't play as Tails or Knuckles - Maybe in future episodes they'll be put in. But if not, I call more laziness.
And to top it all off: It's episodic. The fuck? Episodic Sonic?
I hate episodic game play. A full game with DLC is different (as long as it's not a rip-off, looking in your direction Left 4 Dead 2. >_>), but I don't see the point in buying an episode for a few hours then being left with a cliff hangar and/or months of waiting to continue the game. May as well wait until the whole thing is released.
I tried and wanted to like Sonic 4, but I can't if the developers haven't put the effort in. Don't be fooled, this isn't a new edition of Sonic 1, 2, 3, K and CD. This feels a lot like a fan-created game actually, especially with the stiff controls and reuse of enemies.
Do you agree or are you gonna troll my ass now?--------------
