Thanks for the impromptu BT last night JB... Amazing that I could come in 3rd place for my team having only ever made 1 kill (and a few assists).
You get far more teampoints than you'd ever think with just sticking to your squad. Flying around with them in the same transport, reviving people. Squad leading etc.
I did feel way more useful as a medic than I ever do on vanilla, probably because there's more at stake when one becomes injured, or critically wounded... with the long respawn times and the loss of that tactical position...

Sounds like you've enjoyed your first few adventures into PR huh?

    Re: Basic Training!

I enjoyed THIS venture into PR. The first time there was all of 6 people on and a nice person gave me some basic pointers about kits and such.. then I crashed and saw vanilla had a crowd, so I went there. Second time was ok at first.. started a sqaud in one round cuz everyone else was in the other squad.. had a pretty decent tutorial about squad leading then, the next round I got invited into a squad full of pomp and aggrivation, then was booted from the squad half way through the round cuz I didn't know enough about what I was doing.

This time was good all the way through.

Bottomline, if you play PR for a couple more weeks, you'll either be so addicted you'll forget that BF2 is on your computer, or you'll find that it just isn't your cup of tea, and you'll move on.

I, personally, got addicted. I have never played a game this intense and fun.

I'm even finding I enjoy being SL in PR.. I avoid it in vanilla whenever possible...

Played with a badass squad this evening.

Unless you are a few thousand points from a butter bar, then you remember.

    lol true that.

So should we start a thread detailing the excercises that we'll do for this, or should we just do it here?

    Re: Basic Training!

What I would like to see is a training session on mounted infantry tactics. I have found that having a dedicated squad transport can be the single most useful thing that you can have. Others might find out new tactics about this form of combat as well.

Put my vote in, and will be there regardless of date.
