    In your honor Laggy

Well, I know you're trying to SL and command more, so when I got on tonight on Suez I lit up the skies for you while I could. A few gunships and transports got me 8 kills before Titan Assault began. Wish you could have been SAAWing, the transports kept trying to do maneuvers and the gunships loop-di-loops to avoid the missiles. It was beautiful.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Its a beautiful thing to watch them spaz out though, isn't it?

Even better, though you don't get credit, is when they spaz and fly themselves into the ground. Too bad you can't do an Erkel impression and say "Did I do thaaaaat??"

But its even better when you can get 2 SAAWs going, they cover so much airspace, the pilots start getting twitchy since they can't differentiate the lockons.

Just remember..... vehicle sonar out in front of you helps pick up aircraft coming from other directions and the vehicles sure to come looking for you.

    Good job soldier!

I'll have to do the Erkel thing next time that happens (makes me think of the nightmare Carl had where everytime Erkel kissed his daughter she got pregnant).
It's too bad you weren't there though. Those kills were from defending 2 and 4 and no vehicle sonar since 1.4 didn't want me to have it. An AA squad would've annihilated their airforce. :6 :6 :6 :6 (forgive me I'm rocking out to a live version of Sour Times by Portishead while I close out my specialty show :6 :6 :6 :6 :6 :6 :6)

I hate when the first saaw missle hits and they bail out of the gunship. You don't get anything for that. Its just cheap.

I'll talk to my whole squad about what is going on in the air. It's pretty funny. I'll commentate how the pilots are flying and get real giddy over VOIP when a gunship starts trying to do manuvuers.

Yes. Sometimes I just lock onto a distant ship from a high point (like the top of a tower). And they gyrate like nothing else. Actually the really good pilots dive and try to start weaving behind buildings to figure out where you are blocked (and thus where you are).

That's easy to do on maps that have buildings. If you are on suez You can fly the whole map and still be locked. Now Minisk, I dive and weave through those buildings and the hills.

crap I may have to quit SL'ing and start SAAWing again.

I wonder if they were scanning the player list looking for my name.

You running with the vehicle sonar and mines or you got another combo you work with? You staying mobile with the squad or doing like I do and find sniping/suppresion positions?

Just remember, the higher you are, the better chance you have with the SAAW. Seems to not need as much energy to get the altitude and speed that the gunships are operating at.

Actually, i have been mobile with a saw ... certain always attacked silo's and the silo nearest the hostile titan are excellent hunting grounds. And the squad cheers you a lot when a bird falls out of the sky before any podders get out.

I'd like to go to a sniper spot, but most of the time I feel it necessary to give my SL the back up I can provide. Other than that though, I use the mines+sonar. I just pick up the sonar whenever we move to another location. The nice thing about Sidi is that it is just so open.
