Some shotguns I would like to see:
- Some type of shotgun with the break-action style reloading. Single barrel would be the tier 1, double barrel would be the tier 2. Double barrel would provide a hell of a kick up close. To balance out the long reloading time this one would have A LOT of power when fired.
- A faster (reloading) version of the shotgun with slightly reduced power, aka lever-action shotgun.
- A sawed off shotgun.
- Speaking of shotguns: I wanna be able to fire off slugs instead of buck shot.
- A Taser
- Some type of deer hunting rifle shooting a .30-30, this would be a great candidate but there are plenty of good guns to choose from in this department: Marlin Model 336 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- I'm also a fan of revolvers like other people here, so yea I'd love to see one of those as well.
Basically I'd like to see more of the "common man's guns" and less of this "military grade" crap we saw in L4D2. Yes there are gun collectors in the south that collect those guns, but they aren't laying around in the street and they aren't for sale on display in your local pawn shop.

Paintball gun, nail gun, BB Gun, super soaker would be tier 0.
It would be EPIC fighting a tank with a super soaker or a BB gun.
Also, pissing off a Witch by shooting paintballs at her or spraying water on her. lmaoMincegamer: Crimson is a goldmine of funny quotes.KillerJay: I just realized what Creamy is to everyone; everyone loves him and nobody hates him.

I agree with Sawn Off's, you can only fire two rounds and it's not overpowered. Sticky granades, you can set them off whenever you like, perfect for trapping a horde or an unsuspecting Boomer.

TBH, I think L4D2's weapon variety already over-complicated things so if anything I'd want less guns.
I dunno, maybe an anti-personnel mine might be entertaining: it'd be fun to lead a tank over it, kind of like what you can do with the gas cans nowadays but a bit less obvious.RIP Mike Starr

I hadn't thought of sticky bombs/grenades, or at least remote detonated explosives. Would be awesome.
AA-12 would be cool too. Only problem would be the rate of fire, it would be too easy to spam... the way I see it they could make it have a tight spread like the Chrome Shotgun, and fire 20 shells with a rate slightly faster than the regular auto shotguns, but the reload per shot is slower. So if you choose to spam it, you have to go through the long reload. The damage per pellet would be less too. And perhaps limit the ammo capacity to 20/80 or 20/70 compared to the normal 10/90.

That isn't how an AA-12 works. Ammunition isn't hand loaded like other shotguns but through a magazine, similar to assault rifles. Just discard the old, click in the new and you're good to go. They are also fully automatic shotguns, not semi auto.
For balance, I believe they should be under the special tier along with the M60 and Grenade Launcher; you only get 20/40 irreplaceable rounds before you have to toss it.Parlock: I'm sorry, I'm an idiot who can't read XD.Teenracer6: I hate salt, it's too salty.Parlock: Taking in TP's sweet, sweet buttsweat didn't make me gag

id like to be able to pick up random crap like rocks, small metal debris, branches, computer monitors, and the standard propane/gas tanks off the street and use it as melee/thrown weapons that actually damages zombies. any of the above would hurt just as much if not more than a frying pan or cricket bat >.>
and on the subject of guns, an m1 carbine as a magnum alternative (same stats as magnum, only more accurate, and possibly a bit more ammo per clip) for those that tend to use the magnum as a primary, an over/under double barrel break action shotgun (skeet gun) for long range shotgunning with only 2 shots per reload to prevent spam, and a grease glock for the pistol slot
and on that note, ditch the whole tier system altogether and make the weapon choice entirely situational, rather than nerfing guns that would kick the shit out of the "higher" tier in the same scenario in real life. dunno about you but ill take an uzi or pistol in those cramped hallways, i like being able to fit my gun through the doorway >.> easy way to balance the m16/uzi would be to nerf the MER of the uzi but give it a ton of reserve ammo since its light, and keep the m16 MER and nerf its heavy ass reserve ammo
