Huey in PR?
So there has been a lot of argument over why the PR team decided to go with a Huey for the USMC instead of its more conventional Helicopters.
Here is the wiki on the current UH-1N "Huey"...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UH-1N_Twin_Huey
The as old but being phased out CH-46 Sea Knight ("Phrog")...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UH-1N_Twin_Huey
The current heavy lift Helicopter the CH-53 Sea Stallion...

The often disputed and newly introduced MV-22 Osprey...(to replace the CH-46)

------------
The debate that has been going on during matches has been about if the USMC even still uses the UH-1 Huey as an aircraft. It does although in very limited numbers and almost always armed with door mounted machine guns and flies with Cobra attack helicopters.
Personally I would love PR to focus on the diversity between the USMC and the US Army as they are two very different forces. Right now we have "Littlebirds" with the USMC, something that does not really happen except in very rare circumstances serving with a helicopter that is supposed to be in support of Cobras.
I have seen and played with the developed model of the MV-22 and hope that either this, or one of the other helicopters above, replace the Huey in maps that do not have a Cobra attack helicopter.
Hopefully nobody sees this as an old salty Marine bitching about inaccuracies, but things like this and a 'medic' with the USMC not being called a Corpsman just gets me a little grumpy...

Those little birds are our Blackwater security contractors flying with us.....
:10 ...... Serious note, we have little birds flying around in Iraq right now and have had for several years now and have played a very valuable role with rcon and support... They are not to be messed with... They can do quite a bit of damage and they are nible and quick.

Re: Huey in PR?
Chinook. Chinook. Chinook. Chinook.
I mean, for fuck's sake. It's even on the homepage now. Imagine the awesomeness of being able to hot-drop two full squads into practically any situation.
Now if they had given us a Huey gunship instead, we might be talkin'. But as transport it's done its deeds. Either use the Blackhawk, Osprey, or Stallion.

The Huey controls still take some getting used to ... and I was finally getting comfortable with the other chopper!
Well, after two horrible crashes (one with my Commander in tow) I think I can at least lumber around and land the beast! practice ... practice ... practiceMy goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.
