Thread: Nouniquenick the taxi driver

So last night on Zatar my squad (Voip Inf) was trying very hard to get the job done regardless of the opposition. We initially landed on the landing sites, quickly taking them and then tried to take the airfield.

At this point Nouni (my nick for him, which is unique = irony?) offered up his huey taxi service to any that needed it. Since an enemy APC was giving us hell at the airfield, I had a few squadies that needed rapid insertion to help me out. Nouni picked them up at our landing site 2 rally point then hot dropped them right on the runway. This was impressive in itself...

So then the apc wipes us all out and the majority of the team seemed to be after the airfield, so I figured this was a perfect opportunity to go after farm. Nouni again picks us up and heads toward farm, deftly avoiding hills and staying low. Unfortunately our enemy did not seem to think it was low enough and rapidly blasted us out of the sky.

I have our squad spawn on the flight deck, because I figure the 3rd time is the charm. I have him swing well around to the north east and drop us in the mountains northeast of farm. He does this excellently and his littlebird escort keeps us advised of the situation over the hill. We set a rally and proceed to head out.

We give 'em hell at the airfield, unfortunately there is nothing much going on and another squad got farm for the USMC while we were sniping apcs and men from the enemy main. I figure its time to help the assault on center hill and call again for nouni. He gives us a good extraction point, picks us up and heads north of farm and around toward center hill. As soon as we hopped out though, a tank shoots a HE round right in our midst, blowing the whole squad to kingdom come.

Now im aggrevated. I ask Nouni to drop us at center but coming in from the south. I figure the enemy has to not be paying attention to that area. I was wrong. After Nouni deftly goes around to the west edge of the map, dodging hills and trees, the LZ was super hot and we all end up going down in flames.

Well the game is almost over now (<50 tickets) so I tell Nouni that he can take us anywhere he wants as long as we can land. He heads again over towards farm and spots an enemy firebase on a hillside. Dropping us right next to it, we rapidly dispatch the defending enemy and blow up the firebase. After this point we set up a rally and duke it out with whatever comes around till the end of the round.

He then offered to taxi us again during the next map, Kashan but that ended in disaster as we constantly got shot down by both enemy tanks and AA while trying to land.

Overall I was extremely impressed with his flying as was my squad. We all agreed that flying with him is like being in the movie 'predator', we just need a big texan spitting tobacco on the floor. Good job Nouni, I like you better as a taxi driver that a jet jock!

I'm also the guy who stubbornly kept spawning at main base even though you campy bastards kept sniping me from the hills. I eventually took out 3 or 4 of you with my rifle and that's when the counter-attack began and I ran for a tank. Then I went to farm to pick up a squadmate to gun for me and that's when I yell "GUNNER GUNNER right in front of us east east chopper landing at center hill fire now!!!!"

Well then you got retribution for us using you as target practice at the main lol.
