    Hardest Map, Hardest Level

I`m going to attempt to complete Dark Carnival+Expert+Realism+3 Bots+NO MUSIC!

I always thought that Hard Rain would be the toughest, but I`ve just done that. Infact, it was only the second map that kept tripping me up. The Sugar Mill was a total mindfuck until I figured how to conquer it. Auto shottie+Moli+Adreneline. Never take the Bile until the return trip, it causes more problems than it solves, the pipe can also get you into trouble, it attracts the earmuffed construction workers on to YOU. If anyone wants tips on doing this I`ll be glad to help.

So next, the Carnival. Much more difficult IMO. More open space, more crechendos than Hard Rain, tougher too. MUST find the Bile jar in the first map and nurse it till the fourth; this is a big handicap. Health is obviously crucial, but must arrive at the stadium gates with the ALL Bots in good health, otherwise, it`s near impossible. And the finale leaves no room for errors either. The Tanks are easier to kill than HR, which is a plus, and there are not as many witches, so you have a wider choice of main weapon.

I know some of you think it madness to even attempt this game with just Bots, but for me, it`s the ultimate test of skill.

    Wish me luck!

I think the Passing would be the hardest with bots. The first level is really long, with a lot of car alarms, and storms. Plus that witch is difficult to cope with on expert realism, as you only have tier 1's. The second level is a again very long, and that gauntlet crescendo is the hardest in the game. The finale is a bitch with bots, too, because you have to get each one without them helping you and drag it back to the generator area, and since you can't just throw it down like in Dead Center, it takes forever. It's difficult on normal with just bots.

Dark Carnival is pretty easy, other than the crescendo in 4. The Coaster has little commons I find if you run quick enough.

The Sugar Mill is a bitch with AI. Why aren't they programmed to edge around witches? -_- The rest of it is easier though, as the storm visuals have no effect on AI.

Dead Center will give you a run for your money. Dark Carnival is easy if you save the bile for map #4. The finale might be difficult with the new changes.

The Sacrifice is underrated but not as difficult as the ones mentioned above.

The Parish is probably the easiest due the nature of the finale alone.
I think it's safe to say that on higher difficulties, getting to the finale is usually harder than the finale itself. We had lots of restarts on DA4 and had to resort to the unorthodox strategies, yet we breezed through the finale on the first try.

The second level of Hard Rain is, in my opinion, pretty hard on higher difficulties and realism. You have to deal with all the witches, as well as commons hiding from atop the walls and walkways and dropping down onto you without notice. If you're playing with bots, they have a tendency to take odd paths around the machinery and accidentally run into witches and other zombies.

Overall? I think Hard Rain is the hardest campaign. The water slowdown, the many witches (as mentioned before), and the finale is hard as well; few places to light a Tank on fire, and the infected have a tendency to spawn and attack you just before the boat arrives at the dock and all the survivors are waiting to get on.

Granted, the Scavenge finales of The Passing and Dead Center are also difficult. Bile Bombs help on the second and third level crescendos of The Passing and Dead Center respectively. The Sacrifice finale is easier if you remember a few things:
    - Once you start one generator and fight off the horde and Tank that comes from that, the only thing you will have to worry about is Special Infected spawning. No more Tank or commons will spawn until you start another generator. Use this to your advantage to set up for the next wave, and to heal and gather items from around the area. Because of this, it's generally not a good idea to start all three generators at the same time, or to rush to a generator after recently starting one.
    - As soon as you start a generator, one of two things will happen: A horde will spawn, or a Tank will spawn. Try to use captions. If you do not immediately see "Incoming Attack" and hear the horde scream, a Tank is going to spawn. If you are in an interior area, or in a place where the infected can drop onto you (like next to a building), be careful that he doesn't spawn close by or drop down to hit you.
    - Whenever a horde does come, pick a place for you and your team to hold out. There are good areas by all three of the generators. Pick a spot where commons can be funneled, and specials can be seen before they attack your team. Be prepared for Tanks that may spawn near the end of a horde.

(Note that all of this is opinions based on my past experiences in the game. Peoples' opinions will vary, it's not always "wrong")

If you like a challenge try "one man army", a custom mutation based off of "last man on earth", except all 5 SI spawn at the same time quite rapidly. (no smokers, tanks, common infected, or witches but it's hard enough without them :P)
