Other than cannon fodder
Right then-
So I've been enjoying myself on the TTP server lately (even when stuck on the loosing side), but I was wondering what secrets people have for "kicking it up a notch". The sniping I've got down pretty well, but most of the SL don't seem to appreciate sniping (yeah, I know, not really in the "team" mentality there), and it's easy enough to spam med packs all around, but what do some of you other people do?Per Aspera Ad Astra

I like being support and trailing or covering the squad in the open. You would be amazed at how easy it is to kill the bad guys when they are focused on the squad in the open.
Plus it gives you more of a chance to cry the infamous phrase once tattooed on my forehead by the great one icepepper...
SQUAD DOWN!!!!!

Re: Other than cannon fodder
Just stay with your squad.... and you'll do fine.
If you're a Medic, make it your personal mission to keep all of your guys alive. If necessary, also make it your personal mission to kill all the Bastards who are attempting to kill your guys (as long as you stay with the squad).
Same goes for all the Kits, doesn't matter, just stay with your squad.... the support of (6) players is a powerful tool, when used efficiently and appropriately.

I'm generally either a Medic or an Anti Tank... on the rare occasion, if called for, I go back to my old favorite of Spec Ops to kill assets.
Many kits have their uses (yes, even sniper), try to be as good with as many as you can, that way it won't be a detriment if the SL asks you to take a kit you're not great with.

i pretty much can play most of the kits decently and i try and make sure i follow my SL commands but if i really start to get upset because i cant seem to kill anyone with my current kit ill most likely switch to what i am best with and cap a few heads {snipey style} and if the sniper kit isnt working ill grab one of my shotty's and charge :4

Re: Other than cannon fodder
G3 is pretty effective weapon when i have a close to medium battle. Unfortunately they only give it to you when grabbing the assault kit. I like me an A/T kit on certain maps, and have been known to carry the PKM or MG36.
I think all the kits have a purpose {time/place}, in the well spoken words of NME Boat, "battlefield awareness" should determine your kit choice. 1 Medic + 1 Support + 3 Anti-Tanks + {optional kit here} is a very self-sufficient squad and can get the job done on damn near any map.
Also, knowing when to defend, so that your team stands a chance when being over-run. We did that today and it took our team from being a bunch of un-organized, un-squaded, non-teamplaying dipshits and losing their ass off to a team that turned the game around. Throw in some well-placed, hurtful, motivating Chat Speeches to the team and it was GAME ON.
