It queries all the players on the server, and displays their in game name (the name being used in the server) and their Gamespy nick (their real name).

Go find those name spoofers


Next time I'm on a server, I wanna see if I've been caught playing as "~" or "*"

That whole vehicle drop hack is something else. I asked about it on the Total Gaming Network Server Owners Lounge and found out how disgusting it is and just how vulnerable any player is with regards to accounts being hacked, GUIDs being altered and when it's all said and done, EA resetting stats.

Makes me want to get off the grid and go back to RL activities exclusively.

I was actually asking about it with regards to the instance of the Vehicle Drop Hack that happened on TTP not so long ago.

As it turns out, I'm clean!!!

You might find someone you know and think - damn dude, only to find out he's been spoofed. Someone like this guy who introduced me to the site:

Someone was spoofing his name and Playing as "|"
As a result he's now on the wall of shame.

Banning someone that has special characters in his name is also hard even if you do it by PID since BF2CC is so glitchy. You can accidentally ban someone else. I think these days its best to do it the rcon way - but I know only few do it that way.
