Thread: I Need Help...Again...

I just reinstalled BF2 onto my computer. I patched it up to 1.41, then installed PR's v0.708 core and level files. After I did that, I then patched PR up to the v0.756.

It all went smoothly enough, but when I click the shortcut on my desktop it says, "bf2.exe does not exist. Please check your working directory!: The system cannot find the file specified." I've tried uninstalling everything, but I got the same results the second and third time around.

Has anyone had this problem? Is it something to do with Vista? (I am a Vista n00b)

Well, the easy fix is to navigate to your Project Reality folder, find the Project Reality EXE file, right click on it, and select SEND TO, then select DESKTOP (create shortcut).

hmmm...

And it seems that when I try 'Nilla, it says that its still on version 1.1.2something, and when I try to connect to a server it says that I have, "Inadequate O/S Privilleges".

When it installed it went into multiple "Mods" folders...I'm gonna delete those and try that again...

You might try running the 1.4 patch again; after the PR installation.

You need the start in to be that BF2 folder.

I had the problem, this fixed it.

If I don't run PR as administrator, I get the Shaders Error about me needing to run PR.EXE which I am. If I run BF2 Vanilla without running as admin, I get punkbuster errors about OS Privs.

Okay, so to run as administrater I just right click and choose that option, right?
