I personally would not like to run into the hunter thought that one would be a given, just the fact that he is going to kill you, and very fast at that. plus the little bastard jumps around and is sometimes you just cant melee him. least the other guys eihter just knock you down or kill you at a slower rate, and are easier to see/dodge.

Boomer, infinite shove spam, jk, but if it was only 1-on-1, then would fight the boomer, no interference and no attraction of other zombies, because if it is 1-on-1 I would expect it to be some sort of cage match or something. But anyways, if I got bile on me, I could just take a shower. And another thing, how would we know if we had the gene to be carriers, because you're doomed once it bites you or any bodily fluid seeps into an orifice of your body initiating the zombification.

And on that note, I wouldn't like to fight the hunter, wall pouncing will get you, but the charger gets stunned if it misses, so, if you're quick enough, you can evade the incoming charger and pummel it while it's stunned, repeating this process as necessary.

Sorry I should have clarified, the nearest blunt or sharp object is the weapon you get to use no fire arms. Every thing is 1 vs. 1 except when a boomer pukes on you.

A Jockey. Not very powerful. Second would be a Smoker. If he smokes you somehow your arms might still be free. Just reach above you and grab his head and twist it so it breaks. Ingame survivors still have arms they could still control (when they try to move the strong tongue when smoked but no avail)

Charger would take a while to kill plus he is very dangerous. Just a punch from his big arm would knock you out IRL. A Spitter would be dangerous IRL if you hit her up close and the acid she spills might burn the fuck out of you. It might be hard to hit a Hunter pouncing at you lightning fast-like. Keep your melee weapon handy if he grabs you though, you could try to resist by trying to hold him back with said weapon, like a dead stop.

Well, when it comes to video games, melee weapons are a hell of a lot harder to get used to the physics of than ones in real life. Mainly because you don't know how much muscle you're putting into it or the angle you're aiming it at in a video game.

I mean, a lot of people can play baseball pretty easily, and if people can hit a target like a baseball, then a hunter wouldn't be all that bad, it just comes down to timing and hoping his reached out arms don't screw up your hit.
