    Mid-level to Advanced Has Questions

    TopSec_1 here...

Got into B2, and absolutely love it. Not only it's great to see things in action, but excellent for stress relief.

I have a few questions as I'm at an interesting slump. There are times I play very well, and other times I suck. Can't explain it, but that's why I have the following questions you advanced, and fellow Texans can answer:

1). Why is it I shoot someone multiple times, they shoot me once (I'm at full strength), and I die before they do? Doesn't make sense.
2). Why are those who ALWAYS hog the planes and choppers constantly, while those of us who'd like to take a shot or two can't get in?
3). What's the secret to great tank shooting? Again, I have the better tank but the enemy gets one shot and I'm done.
4). I believe I have hit my level of being a sniper. Is there any type of FAQ or anything on sniping?
5). How about any FAQ (latest one) on the type of weapons, artillery, etc. to use and their level of advancement and when to use it?

And of course, where do I find any area explaining donations and why I get in return?

    Regards,

    TopSec_1

Welcome to the forums. The best advice I can give you is to check out the articles in the menu block on the left. Most of the tips and tricks are covered there. In that same menu box you can find the donations information. The main question I will answer is the sniper one. Get the hours and such you need to rank up, then put it away. See you on the field.

I play pretty well usually, but other times I suck, it happens to the best of us.

1.) Your first shot, aim for the head. Then, if he's not dead, just unload the clip. That what the guy is probably doing.
2.) They hog the jets and choppers because they're pretty damn good, but you can still get a shot. Just have to wait for it.
3.) Tank shells will drop over long distance, so you have to aim higher, and always try to lead a moving target. Shoot where it's gonna be not where it was.
4.) Not sure about the FAQs, but aim the head (obviously).
5.) Use the weapon that you are the most efficient with. At times you'll have to switch kits depending on the situation.

Well, I tried, I hope this helps somewhat.

Welcome to the best gaming community on the planet, Topsec.

First of all: the damage from various guns is different. Some (the USMC engineer shotgun) can kill you in one hit, while others (the SMGs: MP5/7, P90, etc) take 8 shots to kill. Also, a headshot will take you down in one hit.

If you really want to get in the plane, hold down "E" while waiting for it to spawn and you might beat them to it.

In RL, the M1A2 is the superior tank, but in BF2, they are all the same. Aim for the tracks, that will do the most damage.

Now go read those articles civil pointed out, they will have a lot more information!

    See you on the battlefield.

Or do what playerX did for me the other day. Come over a hill and expose the belly of the beast.

    1) If you are playing sniper or medic they have less body armor or none at all and you will take damage more quickly and again aim for the head.
2)Look for the sweet spot on jet and helo spawns and hold done the "e" key. There are no lines for vehicles on the TTP BF2 server.
    3)What they said
4)Check out the articles and also go here http://wiki.bf2s.com/tactical-guides

Welcome to the forums TopSec_1, and welcome to Texasteamplayers.com.

Actually, many times it may appear that your hitting an enemy with your gun fire, but your actually not hiitting them as solid or as much as you may think. Many good players(like myself) are very intuned to "Dodging" bullets. When firing at an enemy, you want to make sure to take your time and focus, using small burst of fire instead of just letting the weapon go full bore. Never "just empty" your clip on an enemy, NEVER!
2). Why are those who ALWAYS hog the planes and choppers constantly, while those of us who'd like to take a shot or two can't get in?
We (and when I say "we", I mean "ME") call these players "Air whores: and they do what Whores do, Whore! The only way to get around them is to join tham and become a whore yourself. Good luck with that.
3). What's the secret to great tank shooting? Again, I have the better tank but the enemy gets one shot and I'm done.
IMO, if in a tank yourself, two place I like to fire. First, always shoot at the front of the treads... two shots and the tank is defiantely dead. Second, try and shoot in the crack of the turret and the body of the tank.

4). I believe I have hit my level of being a sniper. Is there any type of FAQ or anything on sniping?
I will tell you now, that many players here do not like the Sniper kit, as they see it as not being a team KIT... I'm not one of those payers. Secret to being a Sniper in this game, is to stay with your Squad and use your claymores and grenandes. Set-up traps only when being chases, anticipate having enemy run after you..... then as a Sniper, always pickup dead enemy packs, because the Sniper kit is the Weakest KIT of them all, so by picking up other packs, you now have options of using those weapons, killing the enemy, resupply, drop medics packs, then either pick you Sniper kit back up and move forward, or stay with the KIT that you picked up.... The sniper KIt is very hard to be successful at on this sever, very difficult indeed. would say that I have the most claymore kills than anyone else here TTP.... but that's My opinion..
5). How about any FAQ (latest one) on the type of weapons, artillery, etc. to use and their level of advancement and when to use it?
I'm not totally understanding this questions, so I'll leave it to the others to elp explain.

Good luck, and main thing is to stick with your Squad at all times.

To add, when you aim at a tank, aim at the fender, where the round will bounce off of it and into the turrent and that might give you a One shot Kill.

Yeah, I nornally don't aim for the head... I prefer the mid level or the legs as GMG has pointed many times before. The HEAD only if I'm sure for a kill.
