When the odds are against you...
Call this thread what you want.
How do you overcome a side that seems stacked?
What do you do when you are on a team and the odds seem to be against you?
My side seems to be the "underdog". Now what do I do?
Here are some observations and some remedies on how to "even" the playing field and win.
#1 This is the MOST important! Regulars take the role of Squad Lead. The more regulars you have leading squads the better your chances will be. It is a detriment to having too many regulars all bunched up into one or two squads and the rest being lead by non-regs.
#2 Attack and defend. Don't automatically run off to the next flag. All your doing is playing "hop-scotch" with the other side and chances are they have more "regs" squad leading than your side. See #1.
#3 It doesn't take 3 squad to take down one flag. Too many times I see 3 and sometimes 4 squads heading to the closest flag to the ONLY other one you have instead of moving to the most logical flag that would have the chance of being less defended, if not at all. More than likely they are going to moving out of the closest flags to the only one you have.
#4 Form larger squads. Too many times on the deficient team there are multiple one and two man squads that aren't doing "jack". Listen to your commander when he/she tells you to form up into larger squads.
#5 Listen to your commander. They have a much better view of the battlefield than you do. See #3.
#6 Defend your assets. It is always a good tactic to have at least on squad defending your assets. Especially on a ground map.
Please feel free to add to this. These are just a few of my observations...

Re: When the odds are against you...
Very good observations. #1 is critical. When talking about stacking, most people bring up rank. My experience is that rank is less important than the quality of the squad leaders on each team.
#3 is key too. Commanders should watch for this and issue orders accordingly to keep squads from getting bunched up. Good squad leaders also avoid this by checking their mini-map to see which squads are where. From what i gather though, everyone (admin's included), need to have a cup of shut-the-$%^-up, take a few to chill... - Bunni

Re: When the odds are against you...
Good observations Chosen... I think that #3 is one of the main problems with a recurrent loosing side. The way to adress this in my opinion, is to have the Commander micromanage each squad and assign a flag to each squad...basically organize the team, giving them waypoints and orders etcetc. letting them know which flags are not well defended.
If you want to get into more detailed managing, then you can check who´s in which squad, and send the less talented squads to the easiest flags, and use the strongest squads to defend on the front line or cap more difficult flags.

Re: When the odds are against you...
Can I add somthing....
This is for all of you guys that get stuck in small squad. You know those times when all the squads are full and you are stuck in a small squad, a small three man squad is still very effective for taking out armor, taking flags, and destroying enemy assests. A three man squad in a FAV or DPV can cross the battlefield realy quick and strike hard and fast. NEVER THINK THAT YOUR SQUAD IS USELESS! Everyone has a purpose I've been in a engineer squad that did nothing but repair armor and assests and we pushed the enemy back with Commander and Team Support. Everyone supports each other. Thats how the team conquers any enemy. You can always overcome.

Re: When the odds are against you...
My advise for players who "worry" about team stacking.... GET BETTER, then do your part.
Don't be like some, who type out "we need a commander", just do it yourself next time; don't wait for someonse else to to do the job. If your concerned about the Commander job so much, then go F**ckin do it!
Team stacking is only an Issue if your on the loosing team, so it's just a matter of perspective. Don't change your frakin team, change your fraking perspective!
