Sqaud Issues

I was commander last night on wake 2142. Now granted i am not the best commander there is but im not the worst either. some sqauds last night did not follow my orders. i told one of the 3 sqauds defending the core to go and attack the central station outside the titan. the SL said ok and i went to go drop a orbital strike at office for the 2 man sqaud trying to take it. after 2 minutes of helping them i went to go see how the sqaud i told to attack the central station were doing. they were still defending the core

now i don't know if they had mjust died or something but it looked to me like they were in the same spot. that ticked me of so i gave the order again and they said yes again. but 2 miutes later i went to go see how they were doing and still they were in the same spot. makes me mad that they weren't listening. we won that one but still...

Best thing to do in a situation like that is to ask for an admin in chat, in all caps. Tell the admin that you have an unresponsive/non-team playing squad leader. An admin should respond and check out the situation from there. You may have to request an admin a couple of times, otherwise bring the players name into the forums and post it in the problem player thread so everyone can see it and the admins can keep an eye out for them.

Berating them over 'B' also often works wonders. Just knowing that the other SLs are hearing the tongue lashing will often get the squirrels to go after the nuts.

Feel free to cuss them out three ways from Sunday and to the depths of hell. If they are adamant about disobeying your orders or are just ignoring them, do what Trail said. Something like "ADMIN: SQUAD LEADER ALPHA, BIGDOUCHE, IS NOT FOLLOWING ORDERS!" should work.

Hell call them out over voice for everyone to hear; "DAMN IT SQUAD 4 Why arnt you MOVING on your OBJECTIVE Maybe they said they were pinned down and you missed it or something, if you dont get a satisfactory answer as to what they are doing dicking around away from the objective tell them to get on with it pronto using your Authoritative, taking no shit voice.

The Admin are often times leading squads and will hear you may offer to help you out
Feel free to ask for an admin over voice. Ask for an admin over command chat, pause, explain the situation. - Admin try to keep their anonymity on the server so you may not get a response back every time so just go ahead and quickly explain the problem and move on.

I know what you mean Option, unfortunately this happens sometimes and it discourages commanders with not so much experience like myself. Like the guys mentioned using voice helps a lot. I remember one time a squad leader was giving me a hard time, to the point that I started yelling at him on voice. It takes one squads fuck-up to jeopardize the whole teams position. Usually other squad leaders are TTP Admins and if they hear you yell at a specific squad they will step in and take care of it. That day Rusty took care of business, god bless his rusty little heart.
