    Squad Points

I did a search, but couldn't find if this had been mentioned before. If it has been mention, I figured it may help to bring it up again.

At the start of each game, make it your first action to give an ATTACK order, even if you have or don't have a mic. If you have a mic, state the CP or Silo you intend to attack while waiting for the round to start, and please updated newly joined members with the plan of attack.

The MOVE order should ONLY be used as a means to communicate the path you want the squad to take. Considering that most TTP members have mics, the MOVE order isn't even an option.

Here is an example of the MOVE order for the players WITHOUT mics:
Your on the PAC side playing Fall of Berlin. You want your squad to attack Crossroads from the north. Place the MOVE order on the hill at the north. Assuming that the rest of the squad is with you, right before arriving to the blinking/beeping MOVE beacon, change the order to ATTACK. This is the way to effectively keep your squad together.

The ATTACK and DEFEND orders, are the ONLY orders that will earn your squad, teamwork points, attack and defend points, and field upgrade points. They are the ONLY orders that will earn you squad leader points. THE MOVE ORDER WILL NOT EARN YOU OR YOUR SQUAD ANY ADDED POINTS. Also keep in mind that the ONLY way to receive the added points, is to be within the ATTACK or DEFEND order radius.

There are 2 ways of placing orders:
1: Use the map, by right clicking the red and blue icons, and then choose the order. (this is the simplest way)
2: Use the 3D map (i.e. red and blue icons found above the CPs, Silos, and Titans) by pointing at the icon, holding down 'T', and issue the order. (pressing the 'LEFT ALT' key, toggles the 3D map)

The second way, is the ONLY way to effectively issue an ATTACK or DEFEND order on the Titans. If you use the first way on the Titan, you'll be placing the order below the Titan, and will not receive any added points for attacking or defending the Titans.

This is something I did not know. Thank you for the info, as I have a tendancy to SL frequently in 2142, and favor titan over conquest.

    I'm glad I could help.

Note: You can't see the Titan icon from inside the Titan. You can only see the icon from the outside or from the flight deck.

Someone could turn this into an article. Better do it quick before Adsartha comes to pester. She is the definition of a good editor.

Whoa! I never realized this! I always issue commands from the map so I assumed that the point is always on the ground and there was nothing I could do about it. That's a great tidbit of knowledge there.

Good info on the 3D map. I never use that key. Also just as a reminder, when the icon is highlighted yellow, your crosshair is on it. I look for that mostly when issuing orders using T.

Agreed, PM this to an editor and get them to fix the grammer and stuff and then post it on the article forums :9

Not sure what the 3D map even is. I usually issue the order while holding down the squad leader options on the are I want to move/attack/defend, thats if i need it done without reverting to the map. I have to check what bind i have for this 3D map. Thanks for the info jakt.

    Re: Squad Points

The default bind for the 3D map is The left Alt key.
